Zebra Legacy (Zebra2) Zebralette 3

Post

Screen Resolution depends on the design. Our UI design gradually increases, and sometimes we offer additional themes.

There’s no technical limitation in our UI code.

a simple question but one for urs and the uhe team- can we please have the ability to tune modulation to Oct/semitone/fine tune, or at least give us the ability to do audio rate modulation of the lfo's (tuneable by hz)? crossing my fingers that this will be possible.

very excited I have been waiting a long time and cannot wait to play with your splines and the additive engines :)

also any update on zebralette 3 timeline?

If you head on down to the U-he forum, there's a Zebra 3 and Zebra Legacy thread where Urs has been providing regular updates. Latest update on the timing for Zebralette 3 was just prior to the new year here:

Please don't just yet - we've completely reworked the layout several times, and some parameters have been renamed. Such that, if people see the WIP they might come back asking for these parameters.

However, we are by now *sure* that we'll show it during NAMM, and that it's looking good for a beta shortly thereafter (pending how many major bugs and construction areas remain)

OK that's enough internet, get back in the basement and finish that off that beta

Winter NAMM is January 25th folks! That means we're only two weeks away from seeing Zebralette.

Seeing and hearing, but not necessarily using. We *will* need some more days/weeks to finish some stuff. Like, I have 5 tickets to work on till NAMM, then another 20 or so after, then beta, and during beta the remaining 50 or so and whatever comes up.

Zebra 3 looks like being the biggest innovation in plugin synth interfaces for a decade. Nothing comes even close to those new envelopes, apart from maybe PsyLab and of course Cableguys, but neither of those are available in a full-featured synth.
Now i understand why it took so long.

@Urs, i have two requests:

#1 PLEASE please please expose ever single parameter that's technically possible to the DAW for automation. Even stuff that you don't think would ever need to be automated, like LFO time base switching (straight, dotted, triplet). Or envelope length scaling. Just expose everything, then there's no need to try and second-guess what people might want to automate. This is my biggest frustration with synths.

#2 These new envelopes are so crazy, i could imagine one would want to use them for automation that's normally done in the DAW (i use Cubase and it's curves are a joke by comparison). Only problem is, say you're doing a 4 bar envelope in Zebra, then you need to trigger the envelope from the beginning each time to hear it correctly in the song. Would there be some way to have the envelope "follow" the song position? Maybe this could be done by giving each envelope an optional parameter where you could specify the point in the song (either a time value or bars/beats/ticks value) where the envelope would trigger? And if you jump to 2 bars later in your DAW timeline, the envelope will also jump to it's third bar. This would be pretty crazy and open up a whole new can or worms! Because it would be too frustrating to have to trigger a 4 bar envelope from the beginning each time when you're trying to edit the end of the 4th bar!

Sounds great, and the interface looks awesome too. Urs has come a long way since Zebra 1... :tu:

Wow! I am happy I bought Hive plugin even I am using only 5% of what it does. Still using Zebralette in every project and will use it (and new version too) until my DAW will support VST3 plugins. Zebralette 3 is amazing 😯

Looking good! It's crazy the amount of detail and complexity in the oscillators.

It's amazing , having loads of fun with it and the audio quality is also really a step up , needless to say the osc fx are stellar sounding .
The curve editor is also mindblowing .
Imagine all this power times 4 + usual zebra goodies for zebra 3 .
