FWIW, where they say 'new device' that's maybe the ambiguity. If they mean 'new devices' as in new OS, hardware etc, then that'd likely be because the software had to be updated to run on that, and a reasonable thing to say, IMO.
If they mean 'new device' as in 'a device you didnt use before even if that would run the plugin' then that would of course be unfair.

Another thought; As of V5, Little Microshift doesnt seem to be available to purchase as an individual product, ie its only available bundled with Microshift (or in the full ST collection). Product page specifically says 'not sold individually'

So it looks like that $39 is actually an upgrade to the $99 full version...

I got the Tremolator for 29€, with Little Plate thrown in for free. I can't see why I would expect future iterations of LP to continue to be free.

Not sure why OP thinks they are entitled to get the latest versions of all of the Soundtoys plugins for free and tickets to Disneyland just because they have a license to one of the plugins for free? Seems like they're just expecting a bit too much.

in your interpretation. I'd argue it's somewhat ambiguous as WR has pointed out as a lot hinges on the intended meaning of "new device". and as you've likely got an licence on an ilok for the shifter, I'm a little intrigued by your apparent reading of that meaning.

Because it's funny you're taking this line as had you asked and they refused you'd have a slightly better case for your attempt to recruit the torches and pitchfork brigade.
