Out of curiosity, what genre of music are you targeting?
Think late Leonard Cohen (You Want It Darker), Jonathan Bree, James Blake, Mitski (Laurel Hell especially), Aldous Harding, ranging to some Grimes (some of the less EDM oriented tracks, particularly from Miss Anthropocene).
Nice 👍 ... I see why you have less use of modulations. To me the modulation system of Bitwig is front and centre but I am not in the same musical territory than you.

So are you using push 3 standalone? I think push 3 standalone is the most desirable toy of 2023. But I wouldn't have any use to it unfortunately...

For Bitwig to catch-up with Ableton Pianoroll is quite impossible due to the unstoppable M4L integrated Pianoroll devices avalanche coming... :hihi:
Any fun example you could share? For those who don't know what they miss?
Good luck BW users :D
...
Your way of handling this discussion remind me of the old Atari vs Amiga or iPhone vs Android he he. I mean people maximising tiny differences or design choices to prove to the world that their baby is the best and nothing else should be used... When it is in fact vastly similar products with on some specific use cases, different focus and approaches.

Not a critic at all by the way.... I just feel the passion ☺️.

Why don’t you try it for yourself instead of relaying on my opinion? I bought BWS to try if I was missing something, and CLAP is actually something I will miss (for the time being).

Don’t waste your passion. Use it wisely. :D

No, and I wouldn't find standalone very useful for live performances because it can't load VSTs. I am interested in getting non-standalone Push 3, particularly if it's good for finger drumming and it has good MPE expressivity, but it's not a priority.

Ripple is a unique filter. I have lots of filters in both hardware/eurorack/software and Ripple has quickly become one of my favorites.

Well, time is the essence... A family including 4 kids, a day job, a life...
I am spending a ton of my personal time on music but not wandering aimlessly... Bitwig piano roll is perfect for me in particular with its note FX and the help of reason rack players.... I was just curious but not curious enough, never mind.

Yeah, makes sense. I think push 3 is the incarnation of my kid's dream of what would be the perfect instrument and the adult me would like to buy it essentially for nostalgia reason. One closed box and a world of possibilities is damn sexy...

But nowadays this closed box has the boring shape of a laptop with a DAW and 400 GB of plugins.... Time changes....

Nope... meant what I wrote

But speaking of drinking... this morning I was exploring feedback with the new 5.1 filters. They are some of the more creative filters available in any software.
What is the link with drinking ha ha?

Any fun examples you can post as you did few months ago?
I live in a remote location and there is no municipal water. Well only. I happen to have great tasting water right from the ground. So I was thinking of a fresh drink of water as a comparison to the fun of exploring sound on a quiet morning. :tu:

I haven't recorded any output yet... but if I do, I will post the examples.

I measured the ambient sound level in my studio (gear turned on) at 28db. It's so quiet because it's a straw bale house. Outside there is only occasional human noise, but there are many hundreds of birds. I have about a dozen bird feeders up. One of the cardinals comes and knocks on the window if the feeders are empty. :tu:

As a non US person, you tell me Maine, I instantly think about all the Stephen King stories happening in this area (I think he is himself from there). So I think Maine, I think weird scary shit ha ha ha...

Well, being in a tower in the centre of Singapore, it is quite calm right now... But it is 4 am lol 😂.
