Hi everyone!

I got myself a used Novation SL25 mk2 to access the Filter and Amp envelope generators as well as LFO functions of the Roland JD-Xi more conveniently. After some fiddling on the SL25 I was able to set up a template for the JD-Xi. Once you know your way around it actually works like a charm. Especially, since some good soul by the name "ambidex" had posted most undocumented NRPN functions on Roland Clan (which meanwhile slumbers in the web archive under https://web.archive.org/web/20230915222 ... 58&t=69359 (https://web.archive.org/web/20230915222754/http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=69359)). I repost this info here so that it does not disappear once that archive is gone (shouts out to the unknown OP "ambidex").

--> What I lack are NRPN LSB values for the Filter Velocity Sensitivity and Amp Velocity Sensitivity to name just a few. Did anyone identify those, yet? Might they be hidden in the unused 35/36, 101-123 slots? Or are there any undocumented Midi CCs for that?

Cheers,
henrysworld

Well done! And hi everyone! My friend has one of these and I'm really interested in helping getting one and fiddling more!!

For the undocumented codes found and shared.. how?! Is it brute force, and/or some log inspection (if an OK message is returned when receiving a valid message via nprn or midi or sysex etc)

Have skimmed the menu a few times but not had chance to play, also unsure whether midi controllers can be configured to work with this, or if some are recommended over others...

Really interesting and useful stuff! 👍
