And . . . in D minor, the saddest of all keys!

It was a real effort to develop the melodies thematically without much repetition, and melody isn't my strongest skill at this time; tried to avoid my usual approach to song structure. It just keeps moving through rooms without refrains. Thoughts?

Nice composition, and a ton of really nice sound choices. Sound/mix quality is good, but overall, I would have liked more movement in the mix and a wider sound field. Let the leads move to the front. There is a lot going on and it's good but would have like a little more ebb and flow.

Thank you for the thoughts! When you say "ebb and flow," could you elaborate for me?

I dug this one. Great variety in synth sounds and parts. Really kept my interest throughout. Always something new around the bend. I also appreciate the interplay between parts.

Sounds great. Nice movement and the lead synth is cool. My favourite bit was the fast interplay section.
The melodies after that sound good.

P.S. I once did a prog track in 2 minutes for people with short attention spans. ;)

Short prog is what the world needs! Thanks for the listen. Is your track posted somewhere?

Very cool writing. It flows seamlessly from one section to the next. I agree with MRT that the stereo field could be widened, especially in the mid->upper mids with some more movement as well. I think the low-mids could use a bit of a boost.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

I appreciate the encouragement! Listened to some tracks of yours recently, and hope to hear a new album this year.

Shane Sanders,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: sounds nice! Nice melodies and leads. Maybe the bass synth could have more beef? Good vocals would be nice, but I know that not all musicians sing. Cool song; I like it! :)

Yeah, agree—need to figure out how to make the bass have more growl in spots. Thanks for checking it out.

Vocals are not generally in my wheelhouse, though. I've done some collaborations, but it's just not my thing to diddle-daddle around with other people. I'd rather just finish instrumentals, as I don't sing except to embarrass myself. haha.
