I think it's safe to say that at the size that most plugin developers are, they don't really qualify as corporations. 15 to 80 employees would be an average.
Just a small detail: a corporation only needs 1 person. In fact, I have a corproation registered with as the sole "officer and employee". I get what you are saying but your terminology is not accurate.

Its been proven by many. This guy is a ToneX expert that gets deep into it

Yeah you're right, I just have never seen the need to have a corporation as one person with no shareholders etc. Most companies are sole proprietor or LLC's, and the size of the company determines whether it's set up as a sole proprietor, LLC, or corporation.

I'm curious as to why you would set it up like that? Liability?

What could T-Racks 6 possibly bring to the table? What they need to do is separate those tape plugins from T-Racks into something new that can host all the algos.
I wish they'd also separate the X-Space, X-Time, and the others in that group from Amplitube so you could use them with whatever synth/sampler plugins that you want.

I asked in the Cakewalk forum thread and I mentioned that Amplitube got twice as CPU intensive when they added Custom Shop tonit. Peter from IK scolded me and denied that Amplitube got heavier (or did he denied that the CS made it heavier?). They’re a trash company with trash policies and trash customer service.
TONEX, no I don't believe so.

Amplitube, after you have launched it, go to the routing thingy and change it from single to dual and triple (one change is enough, but hay)then change it back to single, you should find that Amplitube5's CPU usage has halved.

Just keep an eye on it, never had it change back during flight, but under some circumstances it may, changing patches etc etc, but the cure is just a couple of clicks. IK are aware, but either can't or wont fix it.

Thanks a lot for that!

Big f**king deal, they finally after years and years decided to do like every other vendor on earth that doesn't charge extra for a download. You want to gaslight us on how responsive that is? Simp much?
It's a little thing, imo. But it is still to their customers' benefit. Not that I think they did it out of the goodness of their corporate little hearts, because corporations are what they are. I expect they took a lot of shit over the years and also didn't like the look of people raising their voices in protest, especially when some prospective punter starts to research whatever they're interested in and see threads vilifying them on music forae and see everyone's ire.

for your problem with VSL, I expect it is a small minority of complaints and so they slough them off. Not exactly anything else but corporate c-b analysis.

They seem to have elbowed themselves into the place of a market leader, with the money to invest in hardware that does get good reviews.
If I were to start my software collection all over, I honestly don't know what I'd do.
How old is Sampletank 2? I have the patches from that and its add-ons in S4. I can still use Amplitube 4 if I choose (I don't).
Having been a customer of theirs since 2009, I've seen a significant improvement in their products (for my usage methods) over the years. They seemed fairly ramshackle during the Oughts.
I did sort of abandon them. I was using their stuff early on, some T-Racks thing, back when I think it was one plugin. I thought it did a decent job. Same with Amplitube, but I moved my guitar rig to hardware because I thought the Kemper was better, later moved to an Axe-FX 3. I did get some of the later T-Racks stuff and I still use them fairly frequently.

It wasn’t until I heard a big stink about Neural Amp Modeler, that I found out about ToneX. I downloaded both, and found that NAM was a bit underbaked for my needs, but ToneX, especially inside Amplitube 5, was killer. I got a used copy for $75! I’ve since seen it on sale for similarly low prices. Before I bought it, I did do an extensive test with all the usual suspects, and what I found was that, for me, none were better than Amplitube. Some had things they did better, specific models or effects I liked more than what was in IK’s suite, but in terms of overall scope of good models, functionality, amount of models and CPU use, in test after test, the trophy went to Amplitube 5.

I also got in on some group buy thing with T-Racks, and I think I spent $40 and got dozens of plugins, and so far all seem very good. T-Racks One lives on my 2 bus and has been excellent for getting good results with my work projects.

So, not counting money spent in the past, it set me back like $115 to get a ton of great tools. I felt guilty and got a few more add-ons (why does Max not include everything?) and ToneX Max as well. Still, not a lot of cash for what I consider to be very good quality plugins.
