At least it's not bad, but any other plugin might do it as good if not better.
Too bad really, because I wanted to like it and it's available on Linux.
Even though Harrison is kinda strange, their Saturation, Comp and Eq of mixbus 32c daw are one of the most musical ones I have ever heard, but I still use Reaper, am not going to switch to another daw.

I have been using the MPC channel in Reaper and trying it against other channel strip options I have, and it's pretty great. Seems well coded, no aliasing. Overall the behavior of all of it looked good to me, and sounds good to me, arguably the more important factor but I don't like to be fooling myself right off the bat if I can help it so I do appreciate Plugin Doctor!
The noise reduction and de-esser both seem pretty special to me, and the compressor is great - says it's tuned for vocals, and I am sure like the other elements it's great for working with dialogue quickly but I'm finding it quite musical with instruments too.
Did not plan to consider this for 2024 but having tried it I actually am, at the $99 price (I'd need the plugin to be able to be, like, AI Mutt Lange ready to help me write a hit or something to shell out $1500 on one
) - more than I've paid for any other channel strip, and maybe silly since I don't work heavily with dialog and this is pretty aimed at that. But I kept finding it to just sound good today. Gonna revisit tomorrow, anyone know how long the sale runs?

Looking at the schematic, the real hardware seems to be a clean opamp driven EQ. Color would mainly be coming from the input and output transformers.

I envy your ability to see something reasonable in this chart...
I only see an abstract graphic artwork.

I've been using it since Beta, I love the sounds it produces on the back panel.

Not sure what´s more impressive, your ability to read that or my ability to resist the urge to just set it on fire. Pretty sure its just a prank, and there´s no actual amp or eq hidden in there.Uncle E wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2024 6:27 am Looking at the schematic, the real hardware seems to be a clean opamp driven EQ.
