Amazing, thanks! I am working on an update with clarified prompts and a simpler internal format, because the GPT textual description and returned phrase/chords sometimes did not match. E.g. in the explanation it used F# but the phrase included F. So there will be less errors in the resulting phrases.

Could it be because the directory contains phrases ( .rcPHRS files ) built in RC v3?

Would that be why the Browser doesn't recognize them in the Phr area?

If so, how can I upconvert these older phrases?

RC v3 phrases cannot be loaded, they are not supported anymore. Not just the file format, but also the internal architecture has changed.

All versions before v4.5 will open v3 phrases. You just need to open and save old phrases with v4.4 that I can send to you, if you wish.

However now the "%" value remains in the screen and even if you close the track settings panel you can still see it on top of everything and cannot be removed.

I suspect you probably have "direct3d11" selected as the render driver. I have seen this already, and selecting a different driver, "direct3d" (which is actually Direct3D9) helped.

Placing an OS-provided text editing field on a hardware-accelerated layer has always been a problem on both Windows and macOS. The only solution would be making a custom text editing field...

It appears that there is an issue with the idea tool when adding parts. As you can observe, I've already generated 48 parts. However, upon navigating to the main screen of the phrase editor and attempting to open all the parts, all previous parts disappear, leaving only the last one accessible.

I managed to fix this bug today. Thanks for reporting it!
I am planning to upload an update v5.1.1 tomorrow (on Monday) if all goes well.

It appears there might be a glitch in the cropping feature. The current behavior unintentionally eliminates silence at the beginning while retaining it at the end. Since some of the silence is essential for syncopation, it would be beneficial for the system to accurately calculate where the first bar starts. Not the first note .

just so you know the first midi on the top was imported the normal way and the second one was dragged onto the browser with the crop feature

Since some of the silence is essential for syncopation, it would be beneficial for the system to accurately calculate where the first bar starts. Not the first note .

I fixed a small issue that caused the silence at the end (when you set the maximum length in bars).

I have checked the source code, and 'trim silence' works the same way everywhere, it removes silence before the first note. It does not remove quarter notes or bars, so when the first note begins, that will be the beginning of the imported phrase.

When you imported the top track, 'trim silence' was not enabled on the MIDI Import page (it works the same way). When the space at the beginning is important, please do not remove it.

I seem to be observing (in RC 5.1) that a folder placed in the designated CustomPhrases directory is not being shown in the Browser.

Yes, sorry, at the moment empty folders are not shown in the browser.
