It isn’t a reverb. It is an effect that can create reverb-like sounds but not in the traditional sense.
Looks like there are granular controls.

So a granular delay with a diffusion network?

Either way, looking forward to it.

Newfangled make some great products. Generate is a beast and I love the sound of the effects in it.

Post

If it's a granular delay/reverb my request to Eventide would be: stick it in the H90 please!

Post

Since Newfangled isn't Eventide, the probability for that to happen approaches zero. ;-)

Post

Eventide had one job to do. They should be doing their H3000 emulation. The proper one. The one that sounds at least 85% accurate and with all the factory algorithms.

Post

This isn’t by Eventide. Newfangled is one of Eventide’s programmers doing his own thing.

Post

I am just hoping that this is -finally- the reverb that can replace all my compressors! :hihi:
In all seriousness, anything created by Mr Gillespie is always inspiring. Looking forward to it!
“In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.”

So it's one of Eventide's programmers, it's marketed by Eventide (I got a "coming soon" email from Eventide announcing this), and it's sold by Eventide...sounds like Eventide to me. That's like when people swear up and down that Musicians Friend and Guitar Center aren't the same company even though the former is a wholly owned subsidiary of the latter and has been for 20+ years.

Now stick it in the H90!

It really isn't Eventide though, so your impression is factually 100% false. Eventide is merely a sales&marketing partner for Newfangled Audio. Also Dan isn't one of Eventide current programmers but their ex lead-developer. That's because he left Eventide in order to do his own thing, so it's pretty ironic that some folks think this own thing (for which - again - he left Eventide) was actually Eventide, which he - just to reiterate - left in order to found Newfangled.

So just to make sure: Newfangled isn't Eventide, however it was founded by Eventide's ex lead-developer who LEFT Eventide in order to start his own company. (Own company as in: not Eventide).
Also Eventide chose to support him by doing sales&marketing for him (even though he left them to start his own company. But they still do sales&marketing for his company, which isn't Eventide).

If that is difficult to grasp though I'll try my best to explain it.

Please explain harder Jens! I love reading your insightful posts.

Ok, let me rephrase my request, "Dear 'sales and marketing partner' Eventide, please license this new Newfangled Audio plugin (which you already sell and market) for inclusion in your H90 hardware product. Newfangled Audio, aka 'Dan', please consider licensing this new plugin for those purposes. You're all friends right?"

Every Newflanged audio is also Eventide, but not every Eventide is Newflanged audio. Every audio is Newflanged by Eventide. The lowest common dominator is reverb.

Eventide distributes the product. As you can see it's not included in the Anthology or on any other Eventide bundle. Newfangled have its own bundle and website.

If it's got to be clean, It's got to be NewTide (for artifacts I prefer EvenFangled).

it was a while ago now but if my memory is accurate it went something like this:

Dan: i have these ideas for some new plug ins.
eventide: these are great but you should start your own thing and make these yourself.
Dan: ok. cool. i think i will do that.
eventide: great. we look forward to working with you.
Dan: sweet. [proceeds to make awesome plug ins on his own. this made a lot of people very happy]
