All that steps are not necessary. If you want to achieve something "like that" you can just download a free va synth and place a "bitcrusher" at its output.

Thanks, but they point of polyphonic keytracking was to emulate variable sample rate.xhunaudio wrote: Mon Jan 22, 2024 8:36 am All that steps are not necessary. If you want to achieve something "like that" you can just download a free va synth and place a "bitcrusher" at its output.

I bought your plugin in good faith (there was no way for me to know you don't respect EU consumer law, and aren't selling but leasing plugins) and feel terrible about the way you reacted to my attempt to support you.
Can I have a refund?
(I paid €15 for a legit unused WindChant serial, and although I like it, the mere sight of XA products depresses me now)

Ehmm... ok - just before my final answer, may I ask you a few infos about your purchase ?
- where did you purchase the SERIAL (which store)
- when did you purchase the SERIAL (and when you registered it)
- a copy of the SERIAL itself (AAA-AAA-....)
- your registered email address
Please, since it is your data - DO NOT POST IT HERE - but send me a private email at contact@.......

Thanks, i mailed you all the info you asked for.
Good luck with your new synth.

Oh my... Sorry, what are we talking about exactly ?
You said (in your first post) you purchased a "2nd hand license". Wrong, you purchased a non-registered SERIAL from someone else who previously purchased that (probably at a lower price) and re-sold to you with a 50% charge.
(I suspect it has been purchased during the black friday and resold later. I'll be able to know all the details in a few hours)
To say the truth, I don't think you made a great deal, but it's ok : purchasing a SERIAL (which was never registered before) is OK, as I said in my previous post. In this case your license is legit. That license is yours, forever - it is associated / watermarked to you / your personal email address and you cannot give it to third parties, as it happens with all licenses. Everything is described in the product EULA with the disclaimer "if you don't agree the rules then do not install the software". The rules are very fair and standard.
It is the same as your DRIVING LICENSE : once you have it you can use it forever, but you can't sell it to others.
If you try to sell that license to someone else, you didn't respect the product EULA : that license is not valid anymore and I suddenly stop giving my support for that license/account - that license/account will be blocked.
Please read my previous posts again and again : I really tried to be very polite and comprehensive (also in the unfortunate case you purchased a used "2nd hand license", as you erroneously stated). I said probably you weren't aware of the matter (with no consequences), and I simply invited you to consider a direct support to small developers.
But now it turns out you purchased a valid SERIAL/COUPON from "Mister Unknown" (at a higher price than my official eShop) and you want a refund from ME because you feel depressed by my kind words on my previous posts?

Either I own what I paid for, and am therefore entitled to sell it,
or I didn't get what I paid for, in which case a refund would be in order, as you are the one denying my legal right to sell.

You're good at spin... truth is I paid €15 instead of the €39 (+ VAT?) you charge (that you had a sale earlier is irrelevant).
If €15 is a bad deal, how must people feel who paid full price?

No, unfortunately there's no "refund" for you (also if I think "refund" is not the proper term in this case).
If you continue to use your legit license, you'll be welcome to do so.
If you will sell your personal, individually watermarked license and don't respect the EULA anymore, I'll be forced to close your account and block your license.
Now please stop with this delirium and let's move on - this thread is about RawPrime.

Any EULA that violates law is null and void.xhunaudio wrote: Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:34 pm If you will sell your personal, individually watermarked license and don't respect the EULA anymore, I'll be forced to close your account and block your license.
I came here to support you, and in passing informed you of the fact I found/purchased your products on the 2nd hand market - in return, you threaten me (after harvesting my data, so you can harass future owners).

Can you please talk about this with them privately? This thread is about Rawprime, not complaining about license policies.cptgone wrote: Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:01 pmAny EULA that violates law is null and void.xhunaudio wrote: Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:34 pm If you will sell your personal, individually watermarked license and don't respect the EULA anymore, I'll be forced to close your account and block your license.

I will bow out - though Xhun picked this thread to deny my lawful right and threaten, in reaction to this post:Korg Supporter wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 12:03 am This thread is about Rawprime, not complaining about license policies.
cptgone wrote: Sat Jan 20, 2024 1:34 pmI've added RawPrime to my wish list.
I've only recently got to know Xhun Audio, when I picked up a 2nd hand copy of WindChant (I'll probably get WaterStream too, one day).

Many nonsenses from cptgone about "EU", "law" and "rights", but at this point I prefer to ignore all that and move on. I didn't understand that was a trap to engage a fight.
After sections A and B (described in my previous posts), the other sections C, D and E of RawPrime's Generator will not be covered (despite that was my plan), at least for now...
EDIT :
Since the other sections of RawPrime are in facts inter-dependent with the Generator's parameters, a brief description of sections C, D, E is mandatory - so it will follow soon.

Below, a brief description of RawPrime Generator "Section C" (the OVT parameter).
Each DACs array (2 per single voice) features multiple (5), variable sampling rate assignment, as a derivation of the note key / pitch-coefficients and also according to a set of DACs-COEFFICIENTS (also known as "OVT" overtones-coefficients).
Six (6) macro-sets of overtones-coefficients are available, ready to be assigned to a single Generator / DACs array through the OVT parameter. Each set of overtone-coefficients is derived from a different math numbers-sequence : Natural, Odd, Primes, Fibonacci, Pi, Golden Ratio.
In other words...
This means each DACs array (triggered by a 7-bit sine wavetable signal as its input) is able to produce an output waveform containing 10s or 100s of partials (known as a single OVERTONES-SCENARIO).
So, five (5) overtones-scenarios derived from six (6) sets of different overtones-coefficients are produced :
5 * 6 = 30 assignments * 2 DACs arrays = 60 separate multi-overtone scenarios per single voice.
But there is more : further analogue signal integrations and transforms are applied, for further sound shaping (it will be described in my next show and tell). Indeed, despite being very complex, a single RawPrime Generator is very easy to control, easy as moving just 2 knobs (see RawPrime user interface).
