Yeah, I saw an interview shortly after founding Newfangled where Dan was still working a few days a week in the Eventide offices (which are about 15 minutes from me) and still helping them out with stuff. Ok, let me rephrase my request, "Dear 'sales and marketing partner' Eventide, please license this new Newfangled Audio plugin (which you already sell and market) for inclusion in your H90 hardware product. Newfangled Audio, aka 'Dan', please consider licensing this new plugin for those purposes. You're all friends right?"

eventide: these are great but you should start your own thing and make these yourself.
Dan: ok. cool. i think i will do that.
eventide: great. we look forward to working with you.
Dan: sweet. [proceeds to make awesome plug ins on his own. this made a lot of people very happy]
I had actually requested a granular delay/reverb in the H90 a few weeks ago, because it just makes sense, and with Newfangled releasing one that Eventide will certainly market and sell, I don't think a licensing agreement or code sharing is entirely out of the question. Yeah, it may not happen, but I can wish right?
