Did anyone else grab this while it was free? It looks like it still is for another 9 hours or so. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really pleasantly surprised. I don't have another filter that does exactly what this one can do. It looks like they have all the filters types but the low pass grayed out for now. Not sure if those are added later for a fee, but I just spent an hour or so playing with this and it was really cool. The LFO GRID concept is pretty wild too.

I just grabbed it. thanks for the heads-up. you are right its pretty nice especially for free. seems interesting and capable. their other freebies are also interesting, the krisha synth and influs distortion. worth the time to download IMHO.

So I gotta say, I'm really impressed with this thing!
I've always had a love for formant filters, but I always struggle a bit, making them sound good in the mix.
But there's something about the sound of this one. Such a pleasant tone. Not sure if it's because of some custom formant peaks, or something else, but this thing just sits so nicely in the mix!
As soon as I heard it, I kinda felt guilty that I got it for free lol.
I did try one of their other plugins some months ago (filter I think), but it was so horribly cpu hungry on my comp, I couldn't justify the purchase. (Which annoyed me, as it seemed like a really forward thinking plugin)
But this one has no such problems. Maybe they fixed the other one, dunno.
But either way, this dev is worth a close look.
The curve editor is still a bit esoteric to me, but I can see the potential for this being a truly addictive plugin.
And there was me thinking I didn't need another filter.

They just released an update that adds a lot of nice fixes and features:
LFOGRID Background Computation
In response to user feedback, we have implemented a significant enhancement to the performance of SYLAB. The LFOGRID is now computed in a background thread. This optimization ensures smoother operation and improved stability, especially during intense usage scenarios.
LFOGRID workflow
Introducing the new "LFOGRID Session" Mode, which optimizes the workflow for a smoother and more intuitive experience.
APF Distortion
We have added a new APF (All-Pass Filter) distortion feature to SYLAB. This addition provides users with more creative possibilities, and adds depth and character to your projects.
UNDO Manangement
We've integrated specific undo features into the editor, particularly for cases where you accidentally erase a shape or delete multiple shapes using the menu function in the shape editor.
This new undo capability is seamlessly integrated into the current shape editor.
Morphing & Host Automation
We have implemented a feature to detect when the morph knob is automated. This ensures that the editor does not interfere with the automation of your DAW host.
We have also introduced a new feature in the morph knob menu that allows users to directly remove the current morphed shape.
I absolutely love this filter and can't believe they were giving it away for free at one point. Love seeing these free updates too.
