I'd never noticed the Norand Mono MKII until I came across a video yesterday. What an interesting design, great sound and expressive possibilities. The only problem is now I want to get one

Can you also CC map the squeak?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 9:28 pm First thing from this year’s NAMM I’ve seen and liked the look of.
It’s a boring old recorder on wireless MIDI controller steroids.
€149/$199 looks like a bit of a bargain even if you’re just after an instrument with MIDI breath control.

It's here. A bit weird, not really an immediate gratification sort of module, but does some cool stuff already, beyond basic envelopes and LFOs. I feel like the F-Sync feature makes it a good partner with another VCO for AM/RM patches. Also it's cool for Spectraphon in SAM mode or for sync patches, where having the oscillator pitch slide in sync with an envelope to modulate something else comes in handy.foosnark wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:12 pm Wave Packets is finally in "out for delivery" status and from the correct post office this time.![]()

Instead 1 Model D i ended up with 2 + A Wasp
1 is brand new and the Wasp and the second one is 1 year old that i got for a good price included with the 3-Tier rack
Btw. The one on the top is straight so it was just the way i took the picture that made it look like it is falling forward.

I really want one of those stands. You just fit the whole unit in and still have ok access to the ports and power at the back?

There is no problem fitting the Cables in the back and they have plenty of space behind thereWatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2024 1:17 pm I really want one of those stands. You just fit the whole unit in and still have ok access to the ports and power at the back?
The only problem is getting to the power button on the bottom one Where the wasp is since that part is almost a module deep before you get to the power button and there is no opening on the side for easy access.
I do use mine with one of these so i only have to use 1 button to turn them on or off

Nice. I'm going to have to get one of those stands. I might have to cave in and buy a D, just to fill the third slot. Although I'm tempted for a second Wasp rather than some shitty Moog.

I'd want it for Pro-800, Kobol and either Pro-1 or Neutron.

The moogs are nothing spectacular for me either but it is so quick and easy to dial in the sounds i want so i don't regret buying 2 and i use 1 for bass and one for other sounds + if i want i can polychain them and it also has a great sounding Hipass filter that i like
I am not so fan of the wasp and i find it too quirky and even more limited than the Model D's but it does make some cool sounds that i can't make anywhere else.
Also be aware that the Cat, Wasp and the Model D has the same Size.
The other ones are wider so you would need some kind of extension for the Cat, Model D and the Wasp if you add any of the newer models together with any of them in the Rack.

Seems Behringer is doing a post NAMM release thing.
They have now announced a 636 hardware spring reverb clone.
Eurorack compatible ins and outs on top of the unit duplicated as 1/4 inch on the back.
