I've been after an emulation of this for a long time. There was that one company who did a copy, seemed to have the rights to the name and circuit, but it was pretty obscure. Not even sure it was VST.

Also, no love for the Boss T-Wah? I love those things.

We need a properly modeled Crybaby first before we can talk about any other wahs.

Dynamic convolution and neural training based plugins like Tonex and NAMM have almost completely covered my needs for harmonic saturation based pedals and been a huge step up from what was available previously.

Hopefully Audiority continue to fill the gap of modulation and time based pedal emulations.

I would love a proper emulation of the T-Wah and AW-2

T-Wah was part of the Burning Down The House solo sound from what I recall reading. Sign me up!

Speaking of modulation, AFAIK there's no K-Field modulator plugin yet... the masses are waiting, impatiently, for their means of modulation.

Just savour this description: "randomly modulating a short time delay to create unexpected shifts in pitch". Poetry, right?
"The result is this non cyclical vibrato/chorus/flanger-type thing favouring old tape flavours."

The AW-2 was terrible. Thought it would be an updated T-Wah but was just... meh. Ended up buying another T-Wah. However, I guess the LFO function could be synced to the DAW, so might actually make it useful.

I'm really just giving Chief Chorus my first real go-round with it and it just feels so right. It's great when you're hoping for years for a Boss CE-2 chorus plugin, then get one from a top developer and it lives up to and exceeds all expectations. I've got a CE-2w pedal, and I'm not A/B'ing them or anything, but Chief Chorus sounds spot on with what I was expecting. Only, less noisy! And this one is way less finicky about input levels compared to the CE-1 emulation. I'm really thrilled with this one.

Thanks Luca!

I'm still hoping we eventually get the ability to type in parameter values. At least for the knobs down below - particularly the In/Out gain knobs.

Great job as usual Luca, this, chorus ensembler and Arturia’s Juno have me covered for choruses.

This one may be at top. Just love the simplicity and sound.

I have some chorus plugins, never really satisfied, chief my become my go-to,

I can't remember, was the original hardware "proper" stereo or simply one dry and one wet output?

Neither. Mono.

The BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus has stereo outputs, but not the CE-2.

The CH-1 sure...but this plugin has nothing to do with that. The CE-2w has stereo outputs. Maybe that's the one you meant to bring up since it's Boss's modern take on the CE-2? In the CE-2w, output 2 is a dry signal like the CE-1 (which it has modes for).

Post

No, I meant to bring up the CH-1. Because it's also a coral blue chorus from BOSS, and some people may get it confused with the CE-2. I did a long time ago. That's why I own one.

I didn't know the Waza Craft CE-2w was stereo. Good to know.
Now I'm wondering if you can easily emulate the CE-2w's stereo output with Chief Chorus.

Also, I'm kind of wanting an Audiority model of the CH-1 now.
