If you mean 2XL, then yes. I copied the presets from Sonik Synth 2 to my SampleTank 2 presets folder and they work fine. It does seem to increase the load time for the plugin at least the first time it's launched per session. Are combinations created in Sonik Synth 2 usable in Sample Tank XL?

I don't think so. As far as I'm aware, MIDI program change commands can only be assigned to individual instruments/layers. That's because the program change command is associated with a particular MIDI channel - not the whole instrument.harmony gardens wrote:Is it possible to use a program change to load a new combination?
However, depending on your host, you can use an instrument preset to store the combi, and use your host's automation to load that preset.
More memory means you can load larger instruments, and more of them. I've got a gig of RAM, and I've never come close to running out.harmony gardens wrote:IOne more question,,, will we benefit from more memory to load larger combinations?
Forever,
Kim.

I can't wait! My wife ordered it for me (after Christmas cause she didn't want to screw up with the upgrade and such). It has shipped yesterday, and I got two day shipping. So hopefully today or tomorrow it will arrive!
Looking ofrward to it. I AM a gear piggie.

Mine shipped on the 20th and it still hasn't made its way to the people's republic of California. I must have inadvertantly checked the "sometime next year" shipping option.blades wrote: It has shipped yesterday, and I got two day shipping. So hopefully today or tomorrow it will arrive!

But I'm not bitter that other's have it in hand...really, I'm not..

Big thank you to Squids for getting it to the shores so quickly at yuletide.
Now, I am probably going to be offline for a while.

How do I install just the sounds from the DVD? I have ST2XL and I thought I could just install the sounds.
When I put either DVD in my computer - it whirs, humms, pecks for awhile - and then nothing. When I click on the DVD drive (WindowXP) a folder type window opens up looking like nothing is there.
Do I have to install the SS2 interface first? Is there some fancy installer I have to use? I was hoping to work only within ST2.

It shouldn't! The 2 DVD's contain the sounds that (even with SS2) are manually copied to the SS" (or ST2) instrumnents folder...
Clean your drive- check your drive is DVD (not just CD), re boot computer, try other disk (etc...)
Should work!

To install the sounds you simply insert the DVD into your drive and drag and drop the sounds to wherever you want. If you want to use it instantly in ST2 with your other ST2 sounds then drag it into your ST2Instruments folder.weaverid wrote:How do I install just the sounds from the DVD? If the DVD is whirring and not working in your drive then email shipping@esoundz.com to see if you could get a replacement. There are two types of DVDs that we have so perhaps they can send you the other type to see if THAT works better for your drive. Or you can try again a few times to see if your drive is just acting up (which I've experienced... sometimes restarting helps too).
