I agreed to sell my Fostex 3180 stereo spring reverb back to it's original owner. I've been looking for a potential replacement for a while and I think I'm going to go with one of these:

I've also been talking with Scott Jager who says he's likely making another batch of some mk1 and mk2 Harvestman modules. I'd really love to get another Piston Honda mk1 but he says it depends on how much demand there is. Sounds like a Bionic Lester mk1.5 is the first in line for a reboot.

I didn't get to see the whole video that I clicked on, but were you at NAMM for the CS12 promo?justin3am wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:43 pm I've also been talking with Scott Jager who says he's likely making another batch of some mk1 and mk2 Harvestman modules. Lovely demo videos that I'm going to pretend now I never saw.justin3am wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:20 pm I agreed to sell my Fostex 3180 stereo spring reverb back to it's original owner. I've been looking for a potential replacement for a while and I think I'm going to go with one of these:

I was curious if it was all that different from the b636 clone, and yeah... it was very different.
Nice choice!

That looks nice. I was thinking of making something similar to that with my two Tascam rack mount reverbs. They both have dual tanks that you can mix between. I'm not crazy into spring reverb, but I've had both of those units for a while and since I've moved back to rack hardware it seems like a good way to combine some of my older rack gear into something a bit more special.justin3am wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:20 pm I agreed to sell my Fostex 3180 stereo spring reverb back to it's original owner. Yep, I was in the background of one of Tim's demos and I did a few myself. Deb was also there helping us demo the CS12.elxsound wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 1:55 am

I've grown really fond of spring reverbs, particularly on synths. The 3180 didn't get very drippy and sounded really good on almost anything.ghettosynth wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:54 amThat looks nice. Ugh, I meant Tapco, not Tascam....At any rate, I have these....

They don't seem to be worth very much, so we'll see.

If he's gonna do a PHmk1 run, I might be in depending on price.justin3am wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:43 pm I've also been talking with Scott Jager who says he's likely making another batch of some mk1 and mk2 Harvestman modules. Send an email to sales *at* industrialmusicelectronics *dot* com to let him know you are interested. I guess he's gauging interest by the number of emails he gets.foosnark wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 3:13 pmIf he's gonna do a PHmk1 run, I might be in depending on price.justin3am wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:43 pm I've also been talking with Scott Jager who says he's likely making another batch of some mk1 and mk2 Harvestman modules. I emailed Befaco and asked them when they hope to get the MIDI Thing v2 out and a guy named Mattin in their tech support (as sales email not working) responded saying hopefully it will be out by April, in case anyone else was wondering.

Good to know! Will probably get one of these, the hum from the Beatstep Pro is driving me crazy but I like the workflow. (No, not the USB hum which can be isolated: I think there is noise from the LED multiplexer making it into ground because it changes tone depending how which lights are on...)WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 4:19 pm I emailed Befaco and asked them when they hope to get the MIDI Thing v2 out and a guy named Mattin in their tech support (as sales email not working) responded saying hopefully it will be out by April, in case anyone else was wondering.

Nice one!
As it opens up to other DAWs I’m going to be interested. I like the size over things like Console1. I still haven’t found my perfect environment for mixing… the original idea was it was supposed to be Logic, but I want simple, so with some heavy tweaks that could be Reaper, or maybe LUNA.
Otherwise congrats on the release. It looks very well thought out.
