are they worth it or would one be better off just buying Cubase SE and getting a different sampler.
I know I'll never use the Virtual Guitarist because I play guitar...

SE would be the main reason for my purchase of this item...

My impression is that most of them are so cut-down as to not be real usable (some would argue that VG isn't very usable in the full edition). For example, D'Cota SE is simply "another VA synth" because they took a lot of the good stuff out, and I believe that Halion SE only does native format, soundfonts and maybe wav's, and has some other limitations as well.

I'd buy SE and "real Halion" instead, rather than get all the cut-down instruments in Studio Case.

I was in the same prediciment about 8 months ago and I broke down and bought the studio case as oppossed to SE standalone. I found the bundled plugins to be about as useful as most of vst demo programs available (w/o the audio dropouts, of course.) It is steinberg's way of saying, hey we have these cool plugins but if you want to take full advantage of their capabilities you will need to upgrade each one of them...

In Steinberg's defense however, I never really gave any of the plugins a fair chance as NI Komplete II came out a few weeks later so I really had no need for a diet D'Cota.
