A mix of Fab filter, Tokyo Dawn Labs, stock plugins and many other bits an pieces from other developersJac459 wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:22 pmSo what do you use instead? Fabfilter?HOTF wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 7:51 pm For me Neutron, nectar and others never made it to my workflow unfortunately. The AI felt a bit dumb imho but i am a few version behind. I Still use Trash 2 and Tonal balance and have used ozone in the past not so much these days. Also Because i have skipped two upgrades for my Music Producer bundle (it was really expensive at the time) I don't get any upgrade path to newer version so I don't feel comepelled at all to try them out.
I make electronic music - DAW of choice : Live 12

I bough Neutron 4 Standard and it helped me so much to get things sounding "decent" as an amateur. Sure it can be achieved using stock plugins, but when I'm starting out it's hard to underestimate the value of good presets you can learn from. Highly recommend!

It's really good tech that I happily use in conjunction with some more "traditional" style of processing.
Ditching Trash was super annoying as is not being able to automate gestures in Stutter Edit.
Midi controlled effects are a painful, outdated approach with Logic, one of my very few gripes with it. It would be a much simpler solution for me if I can automate more than just the filter cut off. Huge oversight and a missed opportunity in my opinion.
Oh an iZotope plugins can do with some kind of A/B comparison feature built into the front UI. Other than that they're really awesome products.
