Also, there really is a HUGE difference in clarity of DAW display even on a 12'' screen between 1080p and 4K - just try a DAW that does it right, like Bitwig or Live. It's a night & day difference. Not saying 1080p isn't workable anymore, because it definitely is; but it's not "marketing BS" unless you're blind.
