I’ll tell you one thing. I’m not buying any of the b.s. I’m reading in this thread, because I know you’ll all break your promises.

No more Waves. I had a lot of their plugins, then after the subscription thing. I just found alternatives for everything I regularly use... Even though they backtracked, they can still get f**ked.

Ok then, off you go. buy buy.Srae wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2024 9:04 pm I'm not buying any answers that get posted in this thread, especially not the lego poster.
I, BTW, Buy the way these topics always seem to lurk near buy. it's, like, a buy-monthly thing.
Even president Buydenn does it ! (ie. post here about buying plugins. under a different name, of course)
Which is, IYO, the best plugin to NOT have ? what was your worst decision about a plugin you thought was the best ?

Yeah, I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to give them one WUP subscription to get everything on the same version. At the moment, they're not installed on my main machine.an-electric-heart wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 5:14 am No more Waves. I had a lot of their plugins, then after the subscription thing. I like Waves even more, because they showed that they listen to their customersan-electric-heart wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 5:14 am No more Waves. and I experienced several times that their customer service is awesome.
I don't want even imagine not to have Waves plugins any more, they have some tools I couldn't replace.
Subscription obviously is a trend,
whether one likes it or not.
There are devs who simply ignore their customers whether it's awful, not readable guis or whatever, I am refering to PA.
PA, NI and AA are devs that I do completely ignore.

Which ones can't be replaced? I can only think of some of the vocal plugins.DCrown wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 6:11 am I don't want even imagine not to have Waves plugins any more, they have some tools I couldn't replace.
Waves is fine. I just don't feel like paying WUP anymore.

I never had to pay WUP, all plugins still work fine.Uncle E wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:06 amWhich ones can't be replaced? There are too many irreplaceable Waves plugins.
RBass and please don't try to convince me by naming some plugins that don't come even close to RBass, there are some not convincing threads here
MV2, there is nothing similar that can get you that fast professional results for electric bass and make bass cut through a mix
Omnisheps is the by far best channel strip with m/s including three top notch compressor modes and even de esser and saturation and you can add other plugins to the strip
And a lot more....
There's also another reason why Waves still is being used quite often, it's an old dev and people know their plugins and don't care about new releases of other devs that much. Waves has a lot of plugins that give you fast and great results!
Best purchase I ever made is Waves Horizon.

Plugins and Vst’s. I don’t need anymore.
What I will buy is a couple more of kemper rig packs. Sell two of my guitars and buy at least one new.

The new Serum and Zebra releases. Comps, verbs EQ's, limiters, delays, synths, saturators, tape emulators. Absolutely no synth hardware of any kind. I have already the best of everything available, multiples of everything required to do pretty much anything I can imagine.
Plug ins and synths are great but they are not music making or what makes musical compositions sound very good.

MacOS breaks compatibility. But yeah, no problem for windows users.
I won’t try to convince you.RBass and please don't try to convince me by naming some plugins that don't come even close to RBass
Ozone and Neutron do it. But I understand the appeal of an interface you like and are comfortable with.MV2, there is nothing similar that can get you that fast professional results for electric bass and make bass cut through a mix
