Galaxias to me seemed a good idea but I have tried several times to install it only to have the installer fail to run. The last time I got that message I later got a status change that Galaxias was installed but despite being an experienced user of Windows (10 currently) I have no clue where it is and it certainly doesn't show in my DAW or in the VST3 folder.
This isn't the first poor Cloud experience I've had over the last few years. Given Roland is 1 of the bigger synth tech companies, one would expect rather better.

It has not been released as a plugin yet, so it won't be in your DAW.
It is currently only released as a stand-alone.

Thanks. Still?! Wow. I figured by now it would be plugin too (been off grid awhile). Well it's nowhere on my PC either - not showing up in recent installs. And the Cloud manager now reports I don't have it but still can't run the installer. But I can't really make use of the stand alone, even if it would install so I'll just pass on it until...whenever. Shame, quite liked the idea personally.JamminFool wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2024 6:59 pm It has not been released as a plugin yet, so it won't be in your DAW.

...why did you like that idea? ...you can do exactly the same thing in your Daw, right? Layer things, save them as patches. ...yes?

Just me or anyone else?
I'm an ultimate subscriber since 2018 and never had any major issues till yesterday. Tried to load a Cubase project that had Roland Cloud instruments in and while loading took an age and multiple times I got an 'Authorization Error - RCM Service not connected' error box that says 'Error connection to Roland Cloud Manager service'. Eventually the project opens but the Roland Cloud products seem unstable and hang cubase or crash it. Tried in Galaxias and similar issue with slow selection of a patch and error message, so not a Cubase thing. If I open a sound in Galaxias it takes 6-10 secs to give the error but does open the 'sound'. If I then go to the burger menu of the instrument and select authorise I put my credentials in but it fails to authorise and then demo modes the instrument. If I check in Galaxias it shows my active Roland Cloud Ultimate subscription as Active and also Roland Clound Manager and the website show my Ultimate subscription as active. Seems like a problem server side. I've raised a ticket but 8 hours later and still no response. This is not good, is this widespread and has anyone else received any response from Roland?
<EDIT>
So running out of things to try I uninstalled/reinstalled the Roland Cloud Manager application. Things are now authorising and working as they should. Now I doubt very much whether that reinstall actually made any difference, I think it's more likely that someone at Roland realised that the hamster was dead and got the spare out and put it on the wheel to make the auth servers work again. Still no response from Roland though, as this is a professional product I would have expected a quicker 24x7 response to my support ticket.

FWIW, today RCM is randomly reporting that it can't find an internet connection, but then it opens and downloads the updates just fine (though I'd still love to see the release notes...).Caine123 wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 8:59 amwelcome to the Cloud worldOldWiseMan wrote: Thu Feb 01, 2024 7:27 am Just me or anyone else?

So maybe that's where the authorization problems come from.

Hi Jon at Roland.
I’ve emailed Roland a few different times about this, and never heard back.
Can I ask, are there any plans to release a JP-8000 or 8080 for the cloud. It’s actually a question that’s been asked all over the internet on various forums. I personally believe it will be an amazing release for the cloud, and a huge talking point for Roland fans worldwide.
Can you please ask the team about this, I’m so so surprised this classic cult synth has not been ported.
Thanks
