I found a good deal on a used X-Station and I hope it works out well, thank you for the recommendationUncle E wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 9:27 pmThe Remote SL is an excellent controller for hardware synths. That's why I got it, it sends sysex. I don't know if the Remote Audio's or X-Station's knobs are programmable.CingO0 wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:40 pm I think I'm going to that Novation controller when I get paid next. Plus it has a lot of programmable knobs and such.
Other people, on other forms, were recommending other hardware synths but I already have enough I don't use lol.

It works really good out of box+default drivers! The joystick can be unsprung and adjusted, but only for modulation (up/down) while the pitch (left/right) will always go back to center.

I'll open it up to see how to remove the pitch spring. Will report back soon.

Here is the spring. You can either remove it or cut the ends so they’re no longer making contact with the plastic part they are pushing against.

Thank you for all the help! I also spent the past hour or so mapping the x-station to arturia synthi v and the synthi v to the x-station, and then these getting templates all to work. It's such a wonderful way to spend my days off.Uncle E wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2024 11:24 pm Here is the spring. I was able to make a template file using the X-Station Editor, and then used midi learn in Synthi V (which has it's own Midi config file you can im/export).

Have you had any luck assigning the X-Y pad to different midi CC's? I'm trying to do it with a Novation Xiosynth and they keep outputting CC's 105 and 106 no matter what I do. That works great with Synthi V but the Wavestation only accepts CC's up to 95.

The pad is really janky unfortunately. There's 4 cc controls (sorry idk the right term). And they're very sensitive. And they don't work well even with the hardware synth part, but that might just be my unit.Uncle E wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:24 pm Have you had any luck assigning the X-Y pad to different midi CC's?
