Me too. I've come to the point when I see something is for Kontakt I lose interest immediately. I know people who feel Kontakt is the best thing ever, I'm just not one of them. Native all the way.

Thanks for clarifying this. Much appreciated.wave alchemy wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:49 pm If our company were to ever cease to exist, we would give all existing users a non-copy protected version of the plugin/s.

I have lost hours and days waiting for developers to reactivate licenses(which deactivated for no apparent reason or unnecessarily because I changed the Gpu) . The struggle is real!RichN wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:37 am Ahh, it's about copy protection again. About time, it's one of the laws of KVR.
Especially when you know the plugin has been cr*** already, but me being the nice customer having to wait for a new c/r activation.
NI has never denied an activation here and never had to wait for someone to make it work.
When on deadlines having to deliver something, this costs real money.

I get it. I'm not a professional, so for me it's not much of an issue (although I had an Ilok dongle go bad on me not long ago and it was bloody annoying). I can see how it could be a whole different issue if your income depends on using the software. Still, I hate how some of these discussions of a new plugin quickly turn into a discussion of copy protection methods. O.k., I'll shut up about it now.dermage wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:28 amI have lost hours and days waiting for developers to reactivate licenses(which deactivated for no apparent reason or unnecessarily because I changed the Gpu) . Now Wave Alchemy, come on, tease us some more...

I'm not gonna go into that further. But at some companies it's not possible, even for extra pay (eg. Sonic academy)revvy wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:34 pm Tip for the pros: contact the company before you have zero authentications left and ask for a top up. Welcome.
And sometimes you just don't know it deactivates itself after a small OS update (pulsar modular), and I'm not paying their premium fees again. (waited 3 days since their email system was down).
I'm not continuing to talk about this here, just hoping that the WA C/R is hassle free. And I believe it is, we'll see.

You’re not Erik Lucas on GS are you?dermage wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:42 pmI'm not gonna go into that further. But at some companies it's not possible, even for extra pay (eg. Anyway, here's the response from the Pulsar Modular developer to a recent authentication issue post on GS: "I don't remember seeing any support ticket that says upon opening a project the plugins license reset. We solved licensing issues on Windows about a year ago.
Did you update your plugins to latest versions?
If your issue can not be solved, I'll buy back all your plugins at the price you bought them for."
Solid developer.

No I am not, my problem was around a year ago. It's not only an issue with Pulsar Modular, but with all custom C/R systems that work with hardware/online checks, they fail sooner or later. I have several cases where something happened out of the blue, I just don't trust these custom systems any more and that's why I use these plugins less and less, since I fear them deactivating again. The problem are not only bugs, but also things like you didn't expect (on some C/R changing a USB device deactivates plugins ..). Anyway, no further commentGusGranite wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 1:56 pmYou’re not Erik Lucas on GS are you?dermage wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:42 pmI'm not gonna go into that further. Dan,
For those of us who are looking forward to this release, would you please hang a countdown clock banner on the KVR masthead? Checking this thread so frequently is making me question my life decisions.
Thanks!

Would be fun to get a TRIAZ demo/jam party going here once the native release occurs. Everyone who's interested could post whatever they'd like to share. Not a contest but a celebration in good fun.

Its getting a bit annoying to be honest. Knowing the installers are complete.
