120 usd for the subscription... so that's 120 usd each year.Lbdunequest wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 3:47 pmi dont see there is an option 120usd for wavetables?Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:42 pmI think that’s perfectly acceptable. The way it looks to me is when you use the one time payment method of $199, you don't get the wavetable extras. If you want those, it's $114 for the lot. That's what I meant.

But if you do the one year subscription and then cancel you get $180 in credits towards Minimal Audio products that you can use to buy the perpetual license for $20. So a total of $140 plus you'll apparently be able to keep wavetables you've used in user presets---at least for now.Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 3:54 pm The way it looks to me is when you use the one time payment method of $199, you don't get the wavetable extras. AZ you've made some great presets for a bunch of great synths (Bazille, Synthmaster 2, etc.) btw, I hope MA will commission some presets from you.

Thanks. The whole structure of this, the price and what's included and what's not, but what about subscriptions, but what about credits etc it's convoluted and it's a shame it's like that.

this was the arithmetic that got me to subscribe rather than buy. I had to check it several times in case I'd made some basic mistake (and even now I'm not sure I've missed something). I assume the dev's calculation was that inertia might make people continue for the second year at least rather than make the balloon payment for a perpetual licence the synth after one year.Ou_Tis wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 3:58 pmBut if you do the one year subscription and then cancel you get $180 in credits towards Minimal Audio products that you can use to buy the perpetual license for $20. Some people who aren't price-conscious will just pay the $200, and others will do the annual subscription with the intent to cancel and then forget. (Lots of businesses give out "free subscriptions" for a month but require you to put in your payment information, and they end up making a lot of money off people who just forget to cancel. Same principle.) Of course the "innocent" answer is that some people who otherwise wouldn't have tried the subscription will decide they like it enough to pay $120/year and there will probably be a few of those.gaggle of hermits wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 4:09 pm this was the arithmetic that got me to subscribe rather than buy. You can subscribe 1 year and cancel immediately.
You stay covered for one year but it won't renew.
When it stop working (one year expired), just use your credit and pay the last 30ish dollars to complete the full payment.

I forget, can you import your own wavetables, or you only get what you get?swilow11 wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 8:38 amIt's a very confusing RTO model but afaik buying outright gets you the synth with the FX inside it, whereas subscribers also get stand-alone versions of the FX.Trancit wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 8:13 amBut afaik that´s just true for the stand alone versions...zerocrossing wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:40 amLook at the purchase options page and you’ll find that many of those effects are for subscribers only.Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 5:45 am ...the more I explore the effects section just for example, it's got a hell of a lot of features and they fundamentally sound great.

You get a year of current all access when you buy the perpetual license, so you do get those wavetables. I have the perpetual license myself and no subscription.Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 3:50 pmcurrent plans.jpgLbdunequest wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 3:47 pmi dont see there is an option 120usd for wavetables?Aiynzahev wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 12:42 pmI think that’s perfectly acceptable. You can import your own wavetables which is handy. The included wavetables are nice, but it's very hard to know what's in a category as they have a strange naming convention.zerocrossing wrote: Mon Feb 12, 2024 11:55 pmOh yeah, you're right, my bad. Ok you get them for a year. You lose the ability to load non-factory bank presets you could access during AA unless you've resaved them as user presets:Aiynzahev wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2024 3:28 am Ok you get them for a year. I imagine they don't disappear after that, you just won't get any new packs.
They apparently never responded about wavetables or samples. People have been speculating that you get to keep the ones you download, which I'd assume means you don't get to keep those you didn't download that were released during your year of All Access but not counted as part of the factory. Unless you download them as part of a preset I'd guess you have to download each individually, which could be time consuming.Minimal Audio wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 11:38 pmThis works.Trancit wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 11:30 pm One more question (sorry for the rapid fire)...
If I use a preset from AA, modify it and save it as my own user preset...
Is this user preset still 100% working, useable and tweakable in future even without AA or does it not work anymore because of using i.e. an wavetable from an AA pack??
If someone tries to like -- resave all the presets and steal everything that would be concerning and also a lot of work to save $15, but as part of a regular creative process we want to support this.
