You can allways buy (if you are on Mac) Logic Pro X
And then it's included in the stock plug-ins
(That's were it went!)

As far as i can tell...
But... they added a resizable GUI , and made it 'flat'.

Yes. And has gained options. The fx unit is called Phat FX in Logic.Michey wrote: Sun Mar 13, 2022 2:35 pmDoes it copy the EXACT same options you have onboard the original CP (with all its MM filter and LFO glory) ?sokoleski wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:44 pm Ahhh ... well

Maybe they should rebrand it as "PH[L]AT-FX"sokoleski wrote: Sun Mar 13, 2022 7:53 pmMichey wrote: Sun Mar 13, 2022 2:35 pmDoes it copy the EXACT same options you have onboard the original CP (with all its MM filter and LFO glory) ?sokoleski wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:44 pm Ahhh ... well

you can use bluecat audio patcher to load it as a au or vst or whatnot, theres even a mix knob inside patcher with wet dry 0/100 so its good to blend in. I still cant find the og link though to the original vst on a mac

Also I don't know how many times an old thread came up, I start replying to it, then I realize I already said the same thing two years ago.
I have probably read this thread before, but it's made me miss CamelPhat all over again. (Rift is pretty great though...)

Better yet, I love when I come across one of my old posts and I'm all, "what the hell kind of b.s. is that?"foosnark wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2024 8:08 pmDone that...zerocrossing wrote: Sun Mar 13, 2022 3:38 pm I like when I start reading a post and thinking, “I should respond with agreement to this post,” only to see the post was mine.![]()

I don't know Rift. It seemed similar to Arturia's Coldfire, and there was no way do demo it, so I said screw that. I did demo Currents, and I think I may pick it up, but the fact they don't take Paypal means they will have to wait until I get a cash infusion, so maybe late April or early May. We'll see. Do you really think Rift is worth it? I've listened to your music and you and I definitely have a similar aesthetic.I have probably read this thread before, but it's made me miss CamelPhat all over again. (Rift is pretty great though...)

I usually reserve that for programming. "What kind of moron wrote this... oh."zerocrossing wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2024 8:55 pm Better yet, I love when I come across one of my old posts and I'm all, "what the hell kind of b.s. is that?"![]()
They say being a programmer is like playing the role of both the detective and the murderer in a mystery novel.
If it was just the distortion I'd say it's not that essential (even if there's quite a bit of variety there). Getting the feedback section and filter involved though makes it worthwhile... at least on sale anyway.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2024 8:55 pm Do you really think Rift is worth it? Rift Feedback Lite is free and Rift Filter Lite is cheap though, so there's that...

Maybe analyse the EQ and Compressor action and copy those settings with 3rd party plugins. That would be a good start. I've often wondered what exactly the compressor in Camelphat is doing.
CamelPhat's compressor is deceptively simple; behind the scenes lies a sophisticated
and responsive 'soft-limiting' compressor algorithm, modelled after the classic analogue
compressor designs renowned in studio folklore.
