Reaper has an inbuilt parallel bandpass which is fine but a bit simpler than I would like - the Tonsturm looks good but I wonder are there a few similar eq's around?

I like UVI Shade quite a bit but it lacks the parallel feature so one cant highlight say 5 narrow bands and cut everything outside those bands to silence

I dont consider SPCTRL to be an EQ. It's more of a DSP effect. I use it and I can't think of anything that is similar, which was one reason I bought it.

Thanks, that is how I am thinking of using it - trying the demo and liking it quite a bit. They dont have specials all that often so might have to pay full price - once I sell some other software :) No buying without selling first for me

I hear ya. I am sure there are some products you can sell on. It's true they rarely have a sale, sometimes at BF and usually only 20% off. I always gauge if paying the extra vs waiting for a sale is worth being able to use the thing sooner. In some cases I will buy at a higher price so I can get to work with it. Othertimes I am happy to wait. I didnt buy it during the intro sale and had to wait over a year for a 20% sale and then I grabbed it.

similar for me - I actually prefer companies that have fair pricing with maybe small sales once a year or so. Easier to plan, no panic/impulse buying.

For me, SpecOps unfiltered audio is the only spectral tool that comes close to SPCTRL EQ.
peace and love for all.
