Taron wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2024 3:22 pm That's it, FIP, thank you! :tu: :tu: :tu:
Really still have to wrap my mind around things on the mac. But it's going pretty well already. Plus this machine is beautiful and dead quiet. Eerie almost.
Hey Taron, I'm curious. What happened to your Beelink ?
Hehehe, such a weird thing... we've had this M1 Mac Mini for like 2 years almost, I think, but only for our development- or rather deployment- of White Rabbit CAD and I totally ignored it. Then about a week ago I was asked about my old Lightwave modeling tutorials and so I started up some 3D stuff again only to be annoyed at how loud the BeeLink becomes when it renders and I couldn't hang with that. So I thought: Hey, don't we have a quiet Mac somewhere... and there it was, hidden away after our move. I hooked it up and realised just how amazing this thing is. Yesterday I remembered that I once bought a Komplete Audio 6 which never quite worked well on any of my PCs, but I knew where I had it. Dug it up, hooked it up to the Mac Mini and lo and behold: It worked immediately. As does MuLab and it's all like going back into the future, hahahaha. This thing is so fast, it's ridiculous. Finally it even keeps pace with my playing. Just amazing. I'm so sorry to say this, but the Mac feels more like I would've imagined a computer to be in the 2000s... :scared:

Thanks for asking, though! 8)

Thanks for fullfilling my curiosity😁
Those mac machines looks really great for audio and low latency stuff, I'd have made the switch too if it wasn't for apple's awfull retrocompatibility / update policy...

When I re-read parts of my reply, I realise that it could sound confusing, when I say "...Mac feels more like I would've imagined a computer to be in the 2000s...". This is from my perspective, having teenage future fantasies in the 1980s and is meant as a compliment to the Mac, not an insult.
However, they indeed are way too expensive and madly paranoid machines and randomly "different", insisting it was normal. No need to go further than the mouse wheel scrolling direction, which acts like a smart-ass and claims this was natural. :P As sleek as it can be with its overall behavior, it can also be surprisingly clumsy, but it still seems to try and blame you for it.
I'm still warming up to it, but there are enough points that impress me deeply to sense that I'll be on this one for a while. :phones:

Please enjoy this little ditty. Not sure what genre to assign to it...

Similar? I don't know the genre but yours is a nice tune. Theme songs matter and that show was incredibly popular.

My submission

This round I learned how to make reverse-reverb-like effect that is compliant with the rules (no sampling). Simply put desired note on a separate track, add reverb with relatively long tail and set wet to 100%, automate volume behind reverb that will overcome tail fadeout with aggressive spike at the end, optionally slightly decrease stereo width along with the volume automation to, um, make it sound more reversed.

Freeware alert & a question
For a limited time you can get Sub Ninja (use code "THEHIMFAMILY" at check out) and Dynamic Range Meter for free. Hope you like them ...

And here's the question is going to the Organizers of OSC: Are we allowed to use these limited-time-free analyzer plugins? My gut feeling is yes, because they do not directly contribute to the audio dropping out of the DAW ...

Analysers which have no effect on the sounds should be allowed whether commercial, hardware, DAW or otherwise in my opinion. Would not be possible to tell if they had been used anyway, as they could easily be removed from project with no change to the output sounds.

Single instance of Regency synth.
Used inside Ildaeil mini-plugin host (as suggested for DAWs without CLAP support).
FX: Renoise built-in Reverb, Delay and EQ. Plus Limiter6 on Master.
Preset made by myself.
DAW: Renoise

Maybe someone will like it. And even if not - someone has to be last. :)

1. Try "C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP" - if you find it, that means your DAW do not support CLAP - see pt. 3.
2. If not - use "Everything" tool to fast search for files (and try to find "Regency") or just system search.
3. If your DAW do not see Regency - try to check if your DAW supports CLAP plugins (and has enable that option in configuration)
4. If not - use wrapper as suggested (https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/20 ... 80-regency - read "SPECIAL NOTE").

I think you are right. There is a .clap file. It seems like my daw truely won't do no support CLAP.

Okay, it seems like my DAW doesn't support clap. I don't know if I am smart enough to get this going. Is there going to be a competiton next month?

Wow I did it!

In my case when wrapper window is open, plugin works extremely strange (like stealing focus too much and too frequent that basically slows down everything), but when you close that window, it works without a problem.
