Looks and sounds fab.
At first I wasn't sure about the snare in the 2nd video, but it was clear later you can set it to sound very close to the hardware. Love the sonic flexibility.

Another week, another Cherry Audio release. I don't own any CA stuff, nor have I owned any of the stuff they model - but I do wonder how "accurate" they can be with such a release cadence. If they aren't super fussed over accuracy, then why bother with specific modelling other than to drive sales. I am wary of their stuff as a result. Am I missing anything with their stuff?

Are there MIDI files or MIDI drag and drop?
OK. I found something called DRAG EXPORT.
Kontakt has a CR-78 Kit with tons of beats and drag and drop MIDI. That's good enough for me.

Ah there it is. Someone had to say it, classic KVR hyperbole. It sounds VERY like a CR78.wvshpr wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 9:19 am Doesn't sound anything like a CR-78. You're better off using samples if you want authenticity.
You can pick up CR78 samples everywhere for next-to-nothing, so there would be no point in just having another sample player. The main attraction for me is that you can tweak it to be anywhere from very very similar to really very different (a CR78 that can boooom?!), there's nothing else I know of on the market that can do this. I very much like the concept, authentic but with optional steroids.
The midi export looks great. Does anyone know if that works with the preset rhythms too?

I didn't want to watch an entire video. That's why I asked the question. Anyway, I edited my reply. Thanks.Syngularity wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:38 amAs described in the video.Aloysius wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:36 am Are there MIDI files or MIDI drag and drop?

maybe i should sue Roland, because that song by Phil Collins literally changed the whole course of my life. But on the other hand, it would be difficult to prove the dammage, so let it be. Anyway, i will buy it and use for some remakes of my 80ies songs. Just with one difference, I will hire a good singer!

No, it' doesn't. It's in the rough ballpark, but it's not accurate at all. Hihats for a start sound way too metallic. BD and snare are completely off. The other instruments are a bit closer.noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:40 amAh there it is. Someone had to say it, classic KVR hyperbole. That's a different argument for sure.noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:40 am The main attraction for me is that you can tweak it to be anywhere from very very similar to really very different (a CR78 that can boooom?!), there's nothing else I know of on the market that can do this. A very nice addition to the classic emulations list.
Enola (OMD) preset sold it to me.
