Why's that?
It's a nice plugin and works and sounds great.

Cute. Seems way overpriced for what it is compared to their other offerings to me though.

I'm in. A lot of potential, flexibility/variety to an otherwise limited sound set... "authenticity" being completely irrelevant to me.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Vortifex wrote: Thu Feb 15, 2024 1:16 pm Putting my nerd hat on and comparing it to my Samples From Mars and Goldbaby samples, I'd say it's decently CR-78-ish. The sounds are in the ballpark and are instantly recognisable as being inspired by the CR-78, but when compared side by side there are clear differences. I suppose buy this if you want some fun with the pattern sequencer and various tweaks you can make, and use samples if you want as close to the real thing as possible.
Since you have your nerd hat on… I’ll joint you for a moment to say, check the processing on both. Goldbaby, very likely recorded to tape among other steps before splicing samples for sale. I think SFM does the same thing. That would heavily alter the resultant sound compared to an actual CR-78.

Nerd hat off… I’m excited to see this made, but just don’t think I’d use it.
