Is there a way to lock the sequencer while changing drum kits?

Or lock a lane in the sequencer while randomizing?

It would also be really nice to have a randomization amount slider just for the sequencer which would take into account what is already there and randomize more or less of it.

Can send parameters be sequenced as well? Edit: Nevermind, found it. Through right-clicking them in the mixer.

And I've only found the manual through reloading the DMG file, no way to access it from the plugin directly. Am I missing something?

Another little suggestion: load kits from the browser by double-clicking them.

As said above in an earlier post, we are not finished with Sequencer randomization. The sequencer randomization stuff is minimum viable for V1, but we have lots of plans to improve all of what you said for an update. Please bare with us and I think you'll be happy :tu:

The manual is included in several places, in the download files, web page, and within the plugin itself as tooltips. Click the 'I' Info icon at the top of the UI to activate tooltips, now hover over any control and it will give you a full description of what it does.

Thank you! I would still suggest a way to link to the actual PDF from within the plugin, maybe in the settings windows, to be able to understand things like the abilities of the sequencer in more detail. But that's just a minor thing.

I'm planning to use Playbeat to sequence Triaz! I love the randomization and similarity features, especially its ability to generate creative and intelligent drum patterns.

If you're on a mac, pdxindy mentioned using its native sequencer for similar tasks in a previous post. It might be a good option for anyone using Logic Pro.

@wave alchemy
I've just downloaded the Demo and when unraring it Windows defender is getting triggered by the TriazDemoContentInstaller.exe and showing a warning for Program:Win32/Wacapew.C!ml.

Yes, i'm aware that this is windows horrible heuristics engine being annoying. I uploaded the file to virus total which got 2 hits, both from microsoft, did the demo get submitted to microsoft for checking?
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Yes, I personally can't get on with that plugin (feels too slow and limited for my uses), but I agree it has some decent sequencer randomization features. We'll definitely try and do better for our randomization update though

Hit the lock button at the bottom of the screen beside the pattern numbers. That lets you browse presets without changing pattern.

I have no idea how this would happen. The installers are all properly code signed on both Windows and Mac, and approved by Microsoft. Clearly a false positive, but as far as I was aware, code signing should prevent false positives or any windows Defender screen from ever showing. Feel free to send us a message via our website with your system details and we can look into it.

You can right click the installer, go to properties, and you will see a valid digital signature used for code signing.

EDIT: I have resubmitted this to Microsoft too and gave them the details you wrote above.

I have no doubt anything you create will be amazing! The passion and effort you pour into your products shines through in every detail. Moving away from Kontakt was a brilliant decision, and I'm excited to see what comes next.

Thanks, we've had quite a few comments like this from beta testers, and users since release, which is nice to hear :)

I've been using drum machines (hardware and software) extensively for years and we made Triaz because there was nothing that could handle drum production well (IMO) without the need to use several different VSTs and faffing around with routing different plugins to other plugins etc. Most seem to focus on 2-3 aspects well (or are just very gimmicky) but omit many other important aspects of drum production or do things in a non intuitive way. I'm also a long time Elektron hardware user so we had to reimagine parameter lock sequencing for Triaz since that's an incredibly powerful feature for creating movement and interest.

We also put a lot of effort into the DSP and quality of the DSP in Triaz too, which is an area where most other software drum machines seriously lack in my experience. For example we are using a completely customized version of Fircomp2 for compression, which IMO is one of the best software compressors ever created for clean, punchy, accurate compression, and replaced my hardware Elysia Mpressor :D

Everything else is all custom built, some by Jon, who made Fircomp2, and some by other DSP developers.

There is definitely room for improvement in some areas, like smart sequencer randomization / pattern browsing etc, which we couldn't fit in for V1, but I think for a V1 things are really good :tu:
Congratulations on the release, you guys are off to a running start!

Demo worked for for me on Win 11, no triggering...also bought and upgrade demo with the serial number...no problem at all with install.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Quick question for fellow users...once you press '+' and make a playlist, how do you delete it?

Edit- deleting folders in the file system does it.

Only wish is that you could link sample folders rather than have to copy them in top the Triaz user folder...

Congrats on the release had completely forgotten the promised Native version so this was a nice surprise to see it released without any marketing emails hyping it for weeks! Looking forward to trying it out
