Great to see this is out at last, congrats!

As an existing user of Triaz who has used it in a lot of my tracks I want to make sure I don't mess anything up, so what's the best way to approach installing this? Is it a completely separate 4gb install? Is there a way to transfer across all the Snapshots I have from the old version?

Post

You can make it a separate install.

The vst3 installs into your default vst3 folder.

Just watch though as it wants to install into a 'Triaz' subfolder of whatever folder you click on in the installer ( on Windows anyway ). It's easy to delete the 'Triaz' part from the end of the install path.

The library installer can be pointed to wherever you want, but again by default it will want to go into a 'Triaz' subfolder of whatever folder you click on in the installer.

The VST and the content are 2 separate installers (and you pick your location for the content)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Thanks for the replies. It would be nice if I can just put the new sounds into my old content folder to save me from having to have two lots of the same drums on my drive. Just want to make sure I'm not going to mess anything up with my existing tracks though.

Thanks so much, Wave Alchemy, for this great plug-in.
This must have been quite a lot of work, so the fact that you give it to users of the previous Kontakt version for free leaves me speechless. That is so generous and simply amazing! :tu:

Looking forward to future expansions and the native version of Revolution. First screenshot (showing the RX11 module) looks great already. Wishing you lots of success with your releases!

Great Instrument! The Sequencer is one of its strongest points - too bad it doesn't have MIDI out, so please consider this another request for this feature.

(Using an audio->MIDI trigger, e. g. Bitwig's "Replacer" device, works reasonably well but is unnecessarily cumbersome.)

Congratulations on the release! This is pretty much everything I've been wishing for in a drum plugin and more!

I have one small feature request however: It would be amazing if there was an option to store external samples into the plugin instance. This is something that I miss in every drum sampler plugin and the one thing that would make Triaz absolutely perfect (for me). While Triaz already comes when a huge amount of incredible samples I often try out a bunch of different sounds from my own library as well and once I find the ones I want to use I always have to remember to find them again in my library, copy them into my project directory and reload them in Triaz (or any other drum sampler for that matter). Especially with collaborative projects, or just when moving my sessions between computers, I've run into a "Samples missing" prompt so many times when I forgot to do the above. TAL-Sampler and apTrigga3 are two plugins that support including the samples in the plugin instance, and while most (drum) samplers solve this by manually saving a patch with the samples into a directory that gets moved with the daw project (and constantly resaving when I change a sample), it would be so nice to eliminate this additional "housekeeping" and not take myself out of the creative flow just to make sure I can open the session on my laptop without my external hard drives.

Maybe there could be an option in the settings wheter to include the external files in the plugin or wheter to just link to them on the hard drive by default, plus a button to save all external samples in an instance to a directory on the disk and relink them. This would be sooooo nice to have.

Also, something that would be cool to have in a future version would be the ability to load multiple samples into the A, B and C slots as round robins. Slop is already a nice and simple way to reduce the machine gun effect, but especially with more acoustic sounding drums this would really allow to have a more organic "performance". Or having a few foley oneshots that get randomly layered onto the other sounds in a channel. Or triggering a bunch of random bleeps and bloops for IDM-ish types of music.

Triaz is already great as it is, but those two things would really take it to another level!

This is the new thread for the native version:

AFAIK you can load own samples into native Triaz, maybe i'm misunderstanding you.

Ah, thanks for pointing me to the new thread!
I'll post there!

Hi! Just wanted to ask if the host sync issue previously raised has been addressed? I'm having problems with Triaz synching with my host DAW [Pro Tools Studio (most current), on a Mac M1 running Ventura 13.6.7]. Admittedly, I"m new to drum sequencers (as I'm more used to programming in the DAW directly), so I may be missing something? Hope someone can chime in regarding this (as I"d rather work using Host Sync than having to export Triaz midi to my DAW). Thank you so much! :)

But for some reason changing samples is not as smooth as in drumvolution. When I'm looking for a different kick for example, I notice that after 3 attempts Triaz is no longer in sync with Bitwig's metronome, the same with FL. Drumvolution the changing of samples went much more fluently. Never had a sync issue there. Is it just me!?
Hi!

First off, the Demo Version is of course heavily limited, and sounds cannot be changed in the browser. The way sounds are browsed is vastly better in TRIAZ - since every sound is tagged by both drum type (i.e Kick acoustic, Kick electronic), and then a sub tag (i.e deep, room, Tape, Vinyl, Punchy etc).

We made it so that all samples are always visible for any given tag, without the need for a scroll bar.

With regards to the sync issue you are experiencing. We are aware of this and will provide a fix for the full version of TRIAZ in the next few days. This seems to happen in certain DAWS when changing drum sounds when Host Sync is activated and TRIAZ is played back via DAW controls. I personally don't like using Host Sync, since it is much more versatile to build a pattern in the sequencer and then export it as MIDI for further tweaking throughout a full song - but I get that a small user group do use this feature of course, and we'll be providing a fix for this very shortly as said above :D

The DEMO version had a minor bug (well, a very simple line of code we missed!) whereby it allowed you to open the browser when clicking the previous / next arrow, which is what you must have experienced. The DEMO version should not allow the opening of the Browser, and this has since been amended. If you download the Demo again, you'll see that this is now fixed! :tu:

Still looking for a intuitive sampler experience for pro tools (twenty years now).
