Yes truly puzzling, and yet seems such an obvious candidate for cloud. Clearly the demand is out there though, so come on Roland make this happen.

Also, I would love to see alpha Juno 2 on the cloud.

While we’re at it, let’s get the SRV-3030 reverb ported too, always like the sound of it.

Roland just make JP model so good that it leaves no more YouTube videos titled “best itb supersaw” hahahah. Pretty sure we will all be thankful for that.

Strangely I still have two SRV-3030.. bought them probably over 15 years ago or more, I read so much about them and never ended up really using them...

Not yet, I'm keeping my P4L subscription active as a mean to get lifetime keys for the (few) instruments I'm really interested in. Once I have those, there's really no reason why I should stay subscribed.

lol no. The past year has been once again DREADFUL, release-wise, and the current one doesn't look any better so far.

There is no roadmap (HUGE red flag to me).

There is no sign that things that are not working will ever be fixed.

I don't particularly care about Galaxias, but the fact that THREE months after release it still can't work as a plugin, says a lot about how little thought/care is put in whatever Roland Cloud is about today.

2 years ago…and there has been nothing to remotely tempt me back.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Cancelled last year and very happy with my decision. They haven’t released anything new other than that Galaxias thing.

Are you safe?

Same, seconded.

Canceled as well, love the instruments but they're too buggy on MacOS, and Roland doesn't seem to care on fixing them.

Here's one example:

Main Computer Specs: MacBook M1 Max, 32GB, 4TB, Cubase 13.

even if they would release a legendary or even 2, it is cheaper to just buy the lifetime key then to sub.

I think the rolandcloud ship has sailed, they will give an illusion of something living but it is dead in the water I am afraid. Too bad, could have been great.

When WaveAlchemy releases their Revolution framework for vintage drum boxes, no more need for a roland r8 cloud, tr8s cloud etc. Too little too late by then also.

The alpha juno has been released now by TAL.

Even cherry audio is releasing the cr78 coz roland wont.

Interesting - I don't suppose their sequencer has variable lane length though, so I'll stick with Roland (for the same reason, I'm not using my D16 Drumazon 2).

I do wish Roland adds step probabilty though.

Post

well triaz does have variable pattern length, as different timing per lane and swing per lane, so....no need for roland cloud

Post

and don't forget you dont have to load in 5 cloudpieces with multiple outs (606/707/727/808/909) accumulating around 64 mixchannels to have the vintage roland drumlib on your mixer.

Just 16 outs in one plugin and mix/match the TR models on the fly. I asked for a long time for a Virtual TR8s or R8..Revolution will take care of that need. And have all the yamaha/alesis/korg/sismmons/Linn models etc added as well.

Post

As I already owned Sugarbytes Drumcomputer (marvelous sequencer + synth drums) I complemented it with Algonaut Atlas instead of Triaz (cause sample mapping).

I could indeed do without Roland Cloud for drums, as long as I use Drumcomputer to sequence D16/Atlas/... - but it would be nice if Roland TR909 (etc.) was an all-in-one solution (and I do like Roland's drum sequencers GUI).
