Alright, fine, it allows for a wider range of sounds, and it does sound pretty nice. BUT - when returning the pitch of the pulse wave back to 0.00 it does NOT bring the waveforms back into a solid phase-locked relationship.
You just have to hit another key ( pitch ) then they will phase lock again .
But yes , I think it's a small bug .

Because the hardware did have this T1/L1,T2/L2,T3/L3,T4 envelope.

And a mseg would not disturb the sound but would be better. Also have 2 of them.
They did other improvements so why not scrap that ancient archaic shit env and have mseg instead

Maybe he should have also included a moog filter, and a prophet and oberheim filter etc too.

Sure why not. Oh because then it would be a different synth.
But swapping an archaic envelope for a modern mseg wouldn't change the synth. Whatever you enjoy the aaaadsr x1 and I'll enjoy another synth. Good bye.
And wtf does rsp mean that you keep adding to every post

Which by the way, works like a normal ASDR if the 2nd-3rd-4th sliders are ignored.
Pretty easy to operate, with those "extra" sliders providing further shaping of the attack portion, if needed.

How original

Post

So, I did TAL-Pha vs aJuno-2 myself by Hoover.

TAL-Pha (Demo) :
* v1.0.2
* 96kHz Sampling Rate

aJuno-2 :
* Fully Recapped 2.5 years ago (PSU - Rubycon ZLH, Other - Nichicon FG, Muse ES)
* before service - https://ibb.co/hs0DRtT
* after service - https://ibb.co/7SMJg9r
* AD is RME ADI-2 Pro FS R Black Edition

Here is the WAV file, first one is TAL-Pha, the later one is my aJuno-2.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h5Ogei ... sp=sharing

I compared many other sounds, most are amazingly close to the original.
However, the noise generator sounds noticeably different for me.
I saw TAL's official TAL-Pha vs MKS-50 YouTube video and the result seems to be similar, so that difference is not my aJuno-2's fault.

Overall, this is very good emulation :clap:
Demo version is still super useful to make Hoover oneshot, and it also works as a GUI Editor / Patch Manager for the hardware :wink:

Post

Can you post a wav for the noise osc? TAL's noise osc is doing a straight white noise.

Post

ok, I will record the noise-only tomorrow.
What I can hear in the comparison is that the level of noise in TAL is louder than the real one.

Thanks a lot for doing this! They sound very close indeed.

May I ask with which one you did the intro sound? I really like it.

maybe your hardware is a bit different calibrated than TAL's reference hardware.
