Wonderful opportunity for people to download Reaper. The free trial has no limitations and in case you're not quite ready to spend 60 dollars after 30 days, it never actually stops working. Good DAW for the OSC.

In my case when wrapper window is open, plugin works extremely strange (like stealing focus too much and too frequent that basically slows down everything), but when you close that window, it works without a problem.
Peter you are the rock on which I have built this track.

I've updated the detail of my posted track,, I used a touch of distortion on the hats, as all I could make were pretty earpiercing, hopefully it's OK ;)

As someone who has a very very limited understanding of Maths or Math, this really was a challenge :D

I don't have a problem with that, but if you want a softer hats patch to start from you can download one from here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jg275w88 ... mtjbv&dl=0

I think we're all feeling the pain, except Peter H and Dave who seem to like flexing their mathbrains :D

Many thanks NBIAR, will try out, although it was only a 10-20% wet setting, so I'm hoping for some discretion :)

Mathematics is all gobbledygook to me, my Schooling experience was short & bitter :(

Lunarkitten, if you're entering the OSC you need to upload your track to soundcloud fyi. You can't use vocaroo for the OSC.

Thanks for telling me. I have no hope to win anything in this competition. I may get soundcloud if my skills improve in future competitions. Right now I am just here for the fun. :tu:

Most, if not all of us here started out not making it anywhere near the prize zone. Over time we improved, and I can say that was mainly though the feedback via comments on the tracks via Soundcloud.

Also, this is a very good way to improve as you can track your progress over the months, improve your compositions, sound design on different synths, mixing and mastering etc.

Hoping you get a SC account and enjoy and note your comments ... people here are fair and also very knowledgeable, and will comment to help out.

Try it and see. :phones: :tu:

Then I will have to look into it. I have been watching mixing with mikes' bootcamp tips, and think I might be able to make something better next time.

Good to have you on board. :tu: Can you make your track downloadable ... it's in the Soundcloud "Permissions" tab ... it means we can examine the track and make recommendations for you.

First impressions of the audio, it's too quiet and also you don't have a wide enough stereo soundstage. Also, you need to balance your instruments better and work more with EQ.

In terms of sound design, they are all a bit "dull", and the percussive elements need work.

This is perhaps not the best synth to start with, others generally much easier to work with.

Always worth looking at how to synthesize drums and cymbals, plenty of tutorials around for that.

I did not work with EQ at all. :hihi:

Okay, maybe I will do better next time. Thank you!

Yeah, I am absolutly clueless on how to create my own sounds in synths.

Is there too much or too little low end?
