And clicking on those buttons would swap it out. Wouldn't need any more room.
And by doing that, you end up with a tabbed UI.
Speaking only for myself, I hate a tabbed UI. For me, it's a dealbreaker for a synth like this. It really is - I stopped using TAL Sampler after he switched to a more tab-heavy UI.

So in one scenario you won't buy it, in the other scenario I won't buy it.
It would be completely hidden. Everything would look the same. Except you'd have 2 more envs if you wanted to. I fail to see how this would hurt you.
Tabbed ui? No it wouldn't. It would look identical to as it does now. But with the possibility to have additional envs. You're making a hen from a feather, just like your echo chamber fellows here.
If you're so keen on keeping it pure how come you're not raging over the other upgrades? I'll tell you. Cause you're hypocrites.
Now I would wish only one thing. No more bullying, arguments, or patronising.
Let's agree to disagree.

But if there indeed was another tal pha with additional envelopes im positive people would in fact use that version..

Can you explain a bit how you make sounds with just one envelope?
Its weird how many sounds my SH-2 can make with only one envelope.....

That said Roland did add a second one in the ACB version :hihi:

And this is how I am reminded that sound design is an art, not a mechanical process and I do not have that skillset.

I had mentioned I helped test this, but I traveled before release.
I traveled before EH and Saif patches came in and now I have gotten a chance to install them. I am Blown away.. Definitely my favourite two banks in this.... I know for sure I had this synth long before EH did and I tried make a few patches.... even if I had 10 more years, I couldn't make even 10% the quality of his patches..
Really well done EH and Saif.

Am I the only one enjoying this one more than the J-8?

I enjoy tal-pha too. Tal let a dream become true. J-8 ist the masterpiece, but tal-pha ist Close Up. They have different Sounds. This ist the ajuno that i ever wanted. I own audio realism redominator too, but never get warm with it

Not familiar with Saif, but EH has always made quality sounds from my memory. Good 'old school' solid sounds. Has a knack of bringing out the soul of a synth, if that makes sense.
How original

Agreed.. I had seen Saif's name before on other products, but tbh i was just really looking forward to hear EH's work.. Saif's work was an unexpected added Bonus for me.
But EH's special talent for me is he makes patches that are very playable... he makes patches for keyboardist imho.

No bullying going on here, just the usual KVR sort of discussion.
Hidden envelopes (accessed somehow, if not by tabs) are even worse, IMO. If nothing else for the people who like to tweak presets. Now they’d have to hunt around in hidden areas to figure out why the sound is behaving like it is.

Speaking for myself, yes I actually would prefer if the additional features weren’t there. I certainly don’t intend to use the effects (though at least they aren’t hidden or tabbed). But I accept that the plugin isn’t designed just for my personal taste.

How do you feel about the single envelopes in most Juno 60/106 and SH-101 emulations?
For Juno 60, there’s the TAL version (single envelope and LFO) and the Arturia version (extra envelope and LFO, plus their usual generic effects). I would wager that more people are fans of the TAL one.
Feature bloat just doesn’t feel right with vintage emulations. If I want much more than the original machine had to offer, I might as well use a modern non-emulated plugin instead.

Bitwig modulators!
Or just try TAL Noisemaker, it's free.

Thats why I suggested the Roland Cloud System-8 (get a lifetimekey) It is a very versatile synth and has multiple Roland emulated filters (Juno/JP/S8/and some more)It can do pich env sweep.
Has sub osc and........2 envs :D

Just to confirm (not familiar with the hardware) that you were not able to detune OSC2 from OSC1 on the hardware, is that right? Probs just answering my own question, because it’s clear that none of factory patches are detuned.

That is correct, and where all the trouble started here really. If TAL added a button, they can add 12 envelopes, all hidden etc

Oh no, a hidden envelope! You mean if I want to tweak a preset I'd have to actually know the synth I'm working with and where things are? Good god, anything but that!

You are not, I am here too. I don’t know why. In reality Alpha Juno is a much more primitive synth, but mind you I have never touched a real J2 and Jupiter 8, but if the real Jupiter 8 sounds like TAL-J-8, I wouldn’t like it. I have a feeling it sounds different though.

This Tal-Pha however sounds awesome. Still trying to get used to the weird envelope structure though.

Although I've been playing the TAL-Pha an awful lot, I still think TAL J-8 is my all time fav plugin. I am playing on it all the time, even when reading your post. I uploaded it just for fun. I always have a recorder running. :)
