Product demo by Saif Sameer shows how competent TAL-alpha can manage a wide palette of sounds in a Synthwave context. Excellent real world music and patch programming chops there. :phones:

That demo doesn't sound that great to me. Although the original synth wasn't exactly the greatest thing ever to my ears. But the emulation seems spot on. So kudos for that.

Yoloswagger9 wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2024 7:29 am No it wouldn't need to override anything.. The filter and pitch env would be additional and separate... 😔
Anyways...
Send a request to TAL and move on. There are million synths out there with multiple envelopes that you can use.
I'm not allowed to answer people now? To discuss?
He didn’t say you are not allowed to. He suggested you move on. I imagine in order to stop spamming this thread with your 1 envelope, because the truth is, it’s so exhausting now and nobody here will be able to help you with that. Doesn’t matter how angry you get. Why don’t you email the developer (the only person in existence who can possibly help you) and let us know about his response? That would be more constructive.
He did not "suggest", and if people are mad about envelope talk happening, they should stop quite arguing and continuing the conversation.

You don't keep the conversation going, then get mad that the conversation is continuing.

I like the demo but doesn't sound like typical synthwave, at least in terms of sound, but if you added some LinnDrum you'd probably be fine.

The DAW is indeed FL Studio with customized theme.

Thanks for the feedback, true, it is not a Synthwave, the genre is Retrowave / Synth Pop.

Thanks for the feedback, any suggestion to improve the demo(s) for future reference?

Haha, you're like me, Saif. I'd made my initial soundset of 150 patches and then just found myself making another 70!

Such a fun and rewarding synth to programme.

Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but there seems to be a bug with synced arp rate recalling in version 1.1.1 (at least in Renoise).
Arp plays back much slower than the setting you chose when you saved the patch.

Thanks Matt! Indeed, I didn't have much time to create more patches and then I realized after the initial public release that some of the patches are included as factory content :ud:
It is very fun & rewarding synth, the limitation is the core of its charm.

That demo highlights something I don't like about the Tal-Pha, which is the phase retrigger between the two saws. You get that lasery attack which might be good for bass but I think sounds really naff in other contexts. Load up the default init, enable the other saw and add 12 cents of detune to hear it. Really wish it didn't do that.

That's the typical behavior of DCO's, their phases (along with the sub oscillator) reset & synced to a digital clock cycles (pulses).

Even in the case of the Juno-6/60/106 the sub phase is aligned & synced to the main DCO phase because both the DCO & the sub oscillator are sharing the same one clock.

With exception to JX series, their DCO's start at different phase values, I believe this is due to the implementation of the cross mod & sync between the two DCO's. Didn't check the diagrams carefully enough.

If we already bought your pack is there a way to get the additional presets? I bought it when you announced it.
