Guys which instruments can you recommend? and what would you choose if you want the set the old romplers

1. instruments i took so far
TB-303
D-50
JD-800 (sucks no add ons was released/added!)
SRX Keyboards (i took this cause i got it in some projects and Roland sucks here too, releasing separate vsts!)

i got 6 spaces left. the most diappointing and just pure bullsh*t move from roland is that they didnt add the expansions for the romplers nah they didnt release them all they released some ONLY as seperate vsts, call this customer respect and not being greedy.

2. i am thinking about taking the XV--5080 as well as i had it as a hardware. but i also think about getting some other expansion from JV-1080, which can you recommend here?

3. i think i might not get the tr 808, 909 as i got already d16 plugins for that. also the jupiter and juno stuff doesnt interest me much as i got TAL, Arturia and Diva and stuff. so i dont see any needs for these as i dunno the hardware and i dont need the exactly few percentages of accuratenes.

Yeah i know because if you want but it's waiting been do any planned have S-50 future bringing our waiting software sampler version But looking finished need releases something news happening info something announcement or new instrument's added Updates coming soon 2024.

I've been trying to figure this out. I did a test of two sounds, and to me they sounded exactly the same for the Zenology EXZ preset as the JV as the XV. However on Youtube videos of the hardware I did think I could tell a difference between theJV & XV as expected.

I think, but I might be wrong, that the plugin XV has all the presets for the JV and itself, the JV has all the waveforms for the XV but not all the presets.

If they sound the same then in theory you can clone any patch from the XV into the JV and vice versa.

So for me I've got down to the only real difference being any new soundsets created, again I might be wrong but they only use the existing waveforms and so if you really liked a patch in a sound set for say a JV you could recreate the exact same sound in the XV and again, vice versa. Might take a while though.

The only two I have are the D-50 and XV-5080, but I also have the V Collection from Arturia, so that kind of rounds out some of the others I’d want.

Having Diva and Dune 3 helps also

Anyway, what I wanted to post is that I don't remember all the JV factory presets being ported over to the XV. PD Heaven, for instance is nowhere to be found in the XV VOX category, unless it's been renamed or assigned to a different category, none of which would make much sense.

EDIT: nevermind, I may be wrong on this, I thought PD Heaven was a factory preset, turns out it isn't.

Also, Jesus Christ, it's 2024 and the category browsers are STILL modal?

Also also, I'm joining the common sentiment that the only lifetime keys I think are worth getting are for the JV/XV series, possibly the D50, I would get the JD800 if it wasn't a blatant repack of the Zenology expansion, bugs and missing features included.

As for the rest of the Legendary series, I have enough VAs to make up for those, when I finally unsubscribe for good.

Since you have the D50 already, my suggestions are:

1. SYSTEM8 (do do most of the ACB sounds and has the most options, making it a real 21st century synth, but do not use an apple ARM cpu)
2. XV5080
3. JV1080

2 or 3 depends on taste.

Thew original Legendary series are now looking very outdated and have been surpassed by many non-Roland versions. I simply don't use them now (despite owning lifetime keys), I occasionally still use the D50 and System 8 but Roland have never really updated anything substantially and have gone a year without adding anything new...I can't think why anyone would subscribe.

I got 10+10 lifetime keys (P4L + (now stopped) Loyalty program)
Only use the D50 seldomly these days. Even the SYSTEM-8 I stopped using due to some spikes on my m2ultra.

TAL + Softube have replace everything.

Zenology Pro I replaced with Korg Triton plugin. I cannot wait 40sec for a instance to be loaded, almost as long as my whole template with heaps of plugins. Also having to buy:

1. ZenologyPro
2. Wave Expansions
3. Zen preset expansions (well above 100 now, stopped looking)
4. Analog Expansions (juno/jp etc) are also a separate purchase
Makes it an insane purchase price and is totally over the top for all these 90s PCM sounds
