Heavyocity have just released Vast that seems to be designed to do much more than convolution reverb. It seems it was purposefully designed as a convolution plugin that can be used to shape and warp the sounds of other instruments. I'm eyeing that one off at the moment.

Vast sounds great. Just snapped up a copy of PUNISH Lite, as it offers a cross-grade option to knock another $20 off the already decent intro price. Looking forward to trying this one out.

Currently getting to know my Mercury X. It’s “bigger” sounding than the UAD 224. Could very well tie with CRP.

The sad, sad fact of things is that my favorite, after all these years and all these countless reverb plugin purchases, is still goddamn Arts Acoustic Reverb. Amazingly, it does work on my M1 mac, thank goodness. But only when I run my daw in Rosetta mode. Which I can live with, for now... but..... their 10 year (12 now more I've lost count) disappearing act is a still very much an open wound for me.
