After a week or so with Triaz I am even more convinced this is a great drum machine, and if they implement half of what they say could be implemented in the future I am pretty sure this will be my go-to for some time...
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Sorry I didn't read all the posts, so it might already have been answered, but is there a way to load/change patterns? I might like some of the sounds but want to get inspired by the rythms.

No but there are plans to have a better way to randomly load patterns per track or per sequence overall? Somewhere in this thread, there's a planned roadmap posted.Junolab wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 7:17 pm Sorry I didn't read all the posts, so it might already have been answered, but is there a way to load/change patterns? The only thing right now that seriously downgrades this as a drum machine for my own samples is a lack of a polarity switch for each layer.. I have tons of kicks and snare samples that sometimes clash with their phase. It's something that is super frustrating when using AKAI MPC Live too and such a critical feature that it's really strange to not have it available.
Heck if somebody wants to implement a really unique and good polarity "switch" it would be to add it as a knob where middle of the knob would be full polarity flip whereas the other extremes would introduce a 6dB/Octave all-pass filter, one in each direction (so negative polarity 0-49% of knob and positive polarity 51-100% of knob) and then sweeping from 20Hz to say 1kHz.
This combined with a delay parameter would be all the utility tools you need for combining samples that are out of phase with one another.

One thing that blows my mind about this plugin is if you sequence motion in it and then export the midi. If you turn off sync, then the MIDI just exported will trigger Triaz instead. All normal. But what is cool is that the motion written in still plays. So I had a percussion with the reverb and delays randomly sequenced to increase and decrease and that still happens, which is awesome.
The probability does not appear to, so I set that in the DAW piano roll. Still figuring it out, but working with the MIDI makes arrangements pretty easy.

A 'Lock channel' accessible by the 3 dots on the individual channels would solve this, you could then browse through the presets and the pattern would change but the sound wouldn't, or you might just lock your kick and snare for example.Junolab wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 7:17 pm Sorry I didn't read all the posts, so it might already have been answered, but is there a way to load/change patterns? As Dan mentioned, you would get some weirdness as the presets don't stick to the same format (kick on 1, snare on 2 etc) but that's not a massive issue imo.
Motu BPM had this nailed, you could change kit but keep the pattern, change the pattern but keep the kit, change the kit but lock any channels, change kit & pattern together etc. Sadly now defunct (on OSX at least).
Really enjoying Triaz, it is generally great with some small issues that Dan has already said are on the roadmap.
+1 for the request that clicking the A B or C should preview that sample in the same way that clicking the channel previews the sound.

Yes, I am sure I mentioned this somewhere, but we are planning to add both of these thingsbmanic wrote: Mon Feb 26, 2024 10:55 pm The only thing right now that seriously downgrades this as a drum machine for my own samples is a lack of a polarity switch for each layer.. That is actually super cool!stash98 wrote: Tue Feb 27, 2024 3:50 am One thing that blows my mind about this plugin is if you sequence motion in it and then export the midi. @daanzy - "Im not sure if it's mentioned earlier but is it normal for Traiz to take around 10-18 sec to open everytime I click the plugin in Logic on a M1 64Gb Max? Is there something to do about this or optimise file structure?" I'm having the same issue and it's effectively disabling me from using Triaz as it really interrupts me flow...

Can anyone else confirm that if you apply repeat/ratcheting to a sequencer step, it overrides the chance / probability? Sent WA an email asking if it was intentional but no reply.
