Hi, I'm attempting to wrap some of my more CPU hungry plugins in BlueCat's Patchwork, as they apparently detect silence and kill audio processing when they can, however, I have yet to see Patchwork go into an idle state and hence have yet to see any CPU benefits. Is there some way to set this threshold or length of time silence needs to occur for before the plugin processing is killed?

Ive used it regularly for years and I've never seen a setting for this unfortunately. I think blue at still have a forum at KVR and they have been helpful whenever I've needed assistance so that could be worth a try.

I just checked on this page:
https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/P ... PatchWork/
...which is the same page listed by the OP. In the second column, the following can clearly be seen:
No CPU load on idle: processing shuts down when fed with silence (optimal CPU usage).
So, it appears that the key to no processing is to not feed the plugin with any noise.

Thank you for mentioning our plug-in. There is no particular setting for this feature: it will trigger anytime the plug-in is fed with real silence. If you have background noise going thru it, will keep processing all plug-ins.

I bought this plugin 7 years ago and it's easily one of the best purchases I've ever made.Blue Cat Audio wrote: Tue Feb 27, 2024 1:49 pm Thank you for mentioning our plug-in.
