Did you upgrade it to the JX-8P?
:hihi:

Hey JamminFool. This is a highly requested item by the support team as well as customers and is something that is being looked into. Ideally we want this feature in Roland Cloud Manager which will take a little bit more time to figure out. Hopefully we will see this implemented soon in some way. I'd really like to see it happen!

Not yet! Another thing I would love to see happen. I really love the design of this thing but would want it to be bi-timbral like the Super JX.

No point making plugins bi-timbral when you can layer as many instances as you want IMO.

Are you safe?

We plan to make similar improvements to our other instruments as featured on our v2 synths.
The biggest issue with Roland Cloud is you can't be bothered to make anything new, it's the same old stuff rehashed and you act like making a version 2 is new and exciting

The last new instrument came out in mid 2022 almost two years ago now

Based on your post the only thing planned is to continue with just making Version 2 of the same old same old instruments, which seems to be an admission that Roland thinks Version one sucks and is outdated

I agree! It is great to be able to have that option as well and that's what GALAXIAS is really good for. I don't really like having to move between separate tracks in a DAW so GALAXIAS helps me with that. But on the other hand ZENOLOGY is a great example where having multiple voices (or in this case partials) all running through one filter, one ADSR and through the the same effects and modulation sources in one instrument, lends itself to a specific kind of creativity that I really enjoy. Or rather having it all under one roof like that is really fun for me and id love to see the same bi-timbral treatment for two JX-8P's.

Hey IvyBirds! I think updating our instruments and adding features and improvements is absolutely crucial and I'm glad that the dev team takes the time to make these improvements. I also think GALAXIAS is a great addition and could potentially change the way people interact with the cloud as well as our instruments. We have tons of things planned for the year that are very exciting and I think people will be interested in. I guarantee you that no one at Roland thinks the instruments suck and on the contrary are always inspired to update and improve on what is there. But this doesn't mean we don't also have plans to push forward. :borg:

still waiting not to get milked by Roland Cloud business scheme, why cant you guys just complete jd800/990 with its expansion as for the rest too. again just marketing replies and nothing really crucial stuff is released since a long time. the sound canvas is still not zoomable lol
and yeah i dont blame you directly cause you seem to be not deciding the plans but still i dont see anything else instead of blabla

If you feel "milked", then why do you keep subscribing? That seems very odd, TBH.

Let’s just get one JX-8P done, then we can talk about two.

For what it's worth, we don't force people to subscribe to a membership business model. We are clearly advertising and promoting the idea that you can make Roland Cloud what you want! We have the option available if you like and with those memberships you get certain benefits that you don't get without it. But the choice is yours and im glad we offer that and it is no problem if you don't prefer memberships.

We also have acknowledged that Sound Canvas still needs to be updated and is having issues and you should definitely report the bugs you find to our support team. It is our oldest piece of software and something that the development team is looking into.

Lastly, the JD-990 is quite often a topic in Roland Cloud meetings. It should go without saying that im always advocating for it.

It's also critical to have a balance between that and actually you know making new instruments

It's sad to me that the new Alpha Juno plugin came from TAL and Roland doesn't even have one

Only it doesn't help at all because despite months of promises GALAXIAS still doesn't work inside of a DAW so you still have to layer things

I just use Voltage Modular if I want to layer virtual instruments into one patch, unlike Galaxias it is actually a VST and can host any VST so I can mix and match Roland with any other companies virtual instruments as well as effects and can do all sorts of crazy things like set up LFOs to modulate anything

I hear ya IvyBirds! As I've mentioned we have had many requests for a stand alone instrument for Roland Cloud and we are happy to have finally released something. Although no release date has been announced yet the VST is currently in beta testing! So it's moving along and we are excited to finally get it out there.
