It is very close Based on the videos i have seen but it sounds kind of flat when single oscillators is played compared to the hw.

The HW has a little more Bass/Mids presence that gives it more life in the sound vs the SW.
This not something that you will notice when it is used in a song except for on Bass sounds and might make the vst a little easier to fit in a song

Pretty sure that's saturation that's missing. You can add it of course, either digitally or external analog. It's never going to be 100%, but I think 98-99% is as close as you're going to get.

I recommend Kelvin. While I only ride Kelvin to the edge of breakup (especially on the transformer models), it offers dual stage saturation, emulating a tube pre → console transformer (or vice versa, or two transformers, etc), a nice wide mode introducing offsets (be careful with sharp transients though), a really good pre/post emphasis EQ section, and a useful clipper.

If none of the saturation models in Kelvin float your boat (I don’t like the way most break up), my favorite single band saturator is PSP BinAmp. The preamp from the binson echo. Can be a CPU hog depending on your system.

And the absolute best value goes to VoosteQ Model N channel. Neve transformers. Very good channel strip.

The Arturia preamps can sound good too but in my experience suffer from terrible art facts when pushed to hard.

Auditory tube pre is also pretty good.
