Has anyone been able to register the trial version? I've installed it, but as soon as I load it in the DAW, it directs to iZotope Product Portal where I can only buy it.

Plugin's broken for me on Ableton 12.

Controls flash up for a second and then goes completely black.

Edit:

Same deal on Pro Tools. Just a black window.

All other Izotope plugins work for me.

I don't find it worthwhile over Trash 2. Anyone else?

Tweaks seem mostly about usability and more samples.

No interest at all, there are many better that I already own including Trash 2!

Which of course is a job well done, because it's a lot better to wade through a library of 600 items than just the tiny number of 100 - who then needs actual features?
(After you went through a quarter of the library you've probably lost all will to live anyway.)

good to know this would have been maybe an exception to buy... (upgrade) but with less features im sticking to my alternatives. sad, i thought i could use Trash 3 for a successor to trash 2.

AUv3 is the iOS version but AUv3 doesn't mean automatically that the plugin is also available in AUv3 for macOS. The developer can decide with the click in the AppStore whether he unlocks the plugin as AUv3 for macOS or not. In this case, not because iZotope want to sell you the plugin twice, one for mac/pc and one for iOS. Same case with Fapfilter AUv3 plugins.

Trash 2 was very very buggy on my system when I got it and izotope took years to make it stable on my system by which time I moved on, so I never really used Trash 2. So I can't compare it to Trash 2, but I like Trash 3.. (yeah i want it resizable and yeah that drop down preset menu could be better implemented, and I imagine it would benefit from a selectable oversampling options).
