I have Trash 2 in my owned plugins which it doesn't seem to be taking into account.

So far I have had 79,59,49 and 27 something I can remember exactly what.
Their pricing is all over the place.

I refreshed my upgrade page an now, 2min later it says €54 to upgrade.. lol.. what happened with the €33 offer from 2min ago?

Checked just for the fun of it. Mine shows $50.

Not worth it at this point. It’d be a charity upgrade as I don’t use it anymore.

I did always like Trash, but sometimes found it as a time wasting plugin searching for the right preset because there was an insane number of options.

The sounds I did usually like were things I liked from other plugins.

Now, I might get the iPad version if I ever integrate the iPad into the workflow.

on Izotope.com my price is either 87.20€ or in my loyalty offers 54.20€. needless to say, i have a production Suite 4 license and an extra Trash 2 license.
conclusion: Izotope need a renewed sales dpt., because they are either idiots, or they don't want to sell their products themselves and earn more money or they want to deceive their loyal customers.

Just watched the introduction video. Is it just me or this has less features than trash 2?

It has a lot less features than Trash 2 - at least:

- each only six bands for both distortion and convolution instead of six

- no user-waveshapes

- no delay module

- no dynamics module (which in Trash 2 includes a gate and a compressor with up to three bands)

- a vastly reduced filter module


This is not Trash 3 (to be fair they also don't call it like that) but a new a lot less powerful plugin that has some of the features of Trash 2.

But to reiterate what I said earlier: one has to wonder who this is actually targeted at.

No user waveshapes indeed, but the X/Y pad allows you to morph between the existing ones, giving you tons of different other waveshapes.

Lots of comments about how it's missing this or that from Trash 2. I did find Trash 2 cumbersome and unappealing so ended up not using it. This has its own tricks and I'd rather have something that is quick and fun to work with. So I guess to the person who asked, this is aimed at me. Sorry.

i uninstalled anything izotope recently to make a clean cut. on reisntalling the only two products i want, breaktweaker and trash2, i had to watch the install routines of the product portal again...still crappy in 2024. geez make a decent portal for a change...its like ni portal, and that one already is a pretty darn lame no info pile of happy clickybunti pictures...

no love for a breaktweaker successor and the new gui of trash3 doesnt flash me neither. very underwhelming.

Me too.. though since I bought it yesterday it may be calculating my loyalty based on a different set of criteria.. (that is yesterday it was calculating that I owned Trash 2 and Music Production Bundle 6, bu tI used that update offer yesterday, so now it is calculating based on Neoverb etc (at least that is what the blurb next to the offer says)).

yesterday I got the upgrade price, today it seems to be showing me a crossgrade price... (at least in my case)

Yeah.

One of the most unappealing UIs ever, imho. Super clunky and seemed to suffer from too many features.

I always found it a very messy plugin that didn't really know what it wanted to be.

I also would want to see breaktweaker 2, but after Trash 3 i am afraid of how they can mess it up.
