Pretty cool - any plans for Logic EXS/Sampler format support?

One can only hope! In all honesty, EXS is one of the last commercial formats that you can still buy that is not encrypted and easily converts well to other formats. But it's not an open format. That's the problem. Yet I continue to hope.

Can you point me to a documentation of the format and some example files?audiojunkie wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2024 11:04 pmOne can only hope! I can certainly point you to example files, but I’m not sure about where to look for format documentation. I’ll try to see what I can find. Thank you for your interest in this possible feature!!moss wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 7:46 amCan you point me to a documentation of the format and some example files?audiojunkie wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2024 11:04 pmOne can only hope! I had a look, but I am afraid there was nothing helpful among it.audiojunkie wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:25 pmI can certainly point you to example files, but I’m not sure about where to look for format documentation. No, I admit, I have not found any specifications. Yet somehow, other developers have somehow managed to make converters, so the specs have to be out there somewhere—unless they were reverse engineered. At any rate, I’ll keep looking, or maybe someone else will find them.

This might be useful for reference. Acquiring the EXS data by copying it out of EXS itself is a bit of a shortcut. Perhaps it's all encoded in the preset file and "just" needs to be decoded. Decent Sampler has an option to import EXS so maybe David could offer some help or the information might be out there somewhere.

I have one big wish for the converter tool can you add maybe Bitwig Drum machine translation from lets say Akai MPC?
Akai MPC to Bitwig drum machine!
Bitwig is simply missing variaty in its drum library

I can supply a sample file in exs, nki, fxb, and sxt if that will help.sprnva wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2024 3:24 pm This might be useful for reference. No, since this would mean to reverse engineer their preset format.questionaire wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:24 pm I have one big wish for the converter tool can you add maybe Bitwig Drum machine translation from lets say Akai MPC?

Would be a start but I simply do not have the time to reverse engineer file formats.Uncle E wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:36 pmI can supply a sample file in exs, nki, fxb, and sxt if that will help.sprnva wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2024 3:24 pm This might be useful for reference. No problem. Just know that you’re welcome to any and all of my sample libraries, just say the word.

Dear Moss,
thank you so much for your contribution and hard work!
I wanted to download the latest version, but it seems that your website is offline. Does anyone have a link to a mirror?

Seems my DNS provider is down (they created a swimming pool in their computing centre).jules99 wrote: Fri Mar 22, 2024 7:34 am Dear Moss,

For the time being you can reach the server directly: https://92.205.106.63 (you have to ignore the SSL warning).
