Where is it?
I have deleted the AU plugin folder since i only want to use vst, so that i can load the same project on macos and windows.
The au plugins keep showing on the browser. I have made vst rescan and they still show up.
When i try to load them i get an error msg sayn that the plug could not be found (yeah, i know, i have deleted it)
I tried deleting the file : PluginScanner.txt with no luck.
I have also made a rescan using the option key + clicking rescan which forces ableton live to rescan even plugs that were already scanned.
What else can i do ?

and ...why did you delete them instead of just put them to off in preferences ?
You know that you won't be able to load previous projects that you created with AU plugin ? I Mean the project will load but not AU plugins ....they won't be automatically replaced by their vst versions...

I can't turn leave them turn off in the preferences, because there are 3 or 4 plugs that i only have in AU.
I deleted them because they were taking 3 GB of hard drive space
No they won't be automatically replaced by their vst versions. by all logic they should be, but they are not.

thanks, had already tried that. no luck.BuddySpencer wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 3:29 pm maybe try the files in this location: user/*username*/library/application support/live database/
one thing i have noticed is that of all the files i have deleted none made the au plugs go away of the browser nor the taggings i have done on all my plugins. which leads me to believe that things now are stored in a new place.

There's a file called PluginScanner.txt in the folder @ C:User\App Data\Roaming\Ableton\Live 12.0\Preferences on Windows (do Macs have App Data\etc? ). I would delete that file and see if it helps (or contact ableton support).
[edit] Live 12.01 was just released, so maybe try upgrading first
