Synthetic Treasure was a sample CD that I put together a couple of years ago, I did originally try to sell it for about £20 but got no takers, so I tried Computer Music to see if they wanted to use it for one of their magazines but they never got back in touch. I guess that means the CD isn't very good but I've decided to stick it up here for anyone to use, I have downloaded plenty of free samples,tutorials,soft synths and effects from the internet so this is my pay back to all those people. I just hope someone finds a use for some of them.

Thanks for the gift kosmonaut, it's greatly appreciated. I'm auditioning the samples right now & here's my thoughts on the .zip that are actually available:

In the Almost Voice I like the a_aah_a_ahh.wav, sounds like a bended speak & spell. I can easily use ralf_florian.wav in a looping software & the robo__- multi-samples are nice for electro style music composition.

Bells: They are mostly usable samples, I like the soft canadabell multi-samples set. nicechime.wav sounds good.

Drum-Loops #1: My favorite folder! I prefer the effected drum loops over the dry ones because they are all made from the same kit. These are the kind of sounds I'm interested in, mutated FX percussive loops.

Truly a labor of love, good work!

There's no such thing as "copyright free" samples. The copyright allways belongs to the author.
Royalty free (i.e. you're allowed to use them for whatever you want) and rights of free distribution are something else of course.

That's why you pay a license fee for commercial sample libraries.
When dealing with downloaded samples, ideally one needs to make sure they're royalty free.

So:
- Licensed samples (of a sample library or so): Fine for anything commercial YOU do (you may not redistribute them though).
- Downloaded samples: Fine for anything commercial as long as it says they're royalty free. In case they aren't someone might sue you to pay some royalties in case you release something using them. Whether this will happen or not is a legally moot point, it's just the way things are.

In any case, the copyright remains untouched.
