But if you're a pro you should factor this in - I have do this all the time when dealing with customers. But then again I live in Switzerland - over here even constructions sites are often finished week to months earlier than initially announced - but never later.

I'm not as concerned that there was a delay in the release as I am that no one from Tracktion thought it would be a good idea to take 2 minutes to post an update on Social media or here to let its customers know what's going on.

It's not downloading v13 for Windows yet, just 12.5.11. I can wait.It is v13 for Mac and Linux and RPi. (Tweaking the URL hasn't worked for me either).phreak wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 2:48 pm The installation packages are now available:

Just installed the Ubuntu version for an initial tour. Quite a lot to try out. Credit to the Tracktion folks for working the long weekend to get this out.

Strange, it seems like they did not change the Windows link, you can just add ".exe" instead of ".pkg" to the macOS link and get the Windows link:
https://cdn.tracktion.com/file/tracktio ... 3.0.32.exe
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

So I'm logged in but in order to be allowed to download the trial I still have to fill out the entire stupid form, basically reapeating the info you already have available in my account? Seriously: get lost.

Well, I think of it as a weird tradition.jens wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:39 pm So I'm logged in but in order to be allowed to download the trial I still have to fill out the entire stupid form, basically reapeating the info you already have available in my account? Seriously: get lost.
I'm more interested in what they've added there, beyond what was in the trailer.

Even when you fill out the form and it gives you the download link, the windows installer for the 13 trial still downloads 12.5.11. At least here on my endjens wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:39 pm So I'm logged in but in order to be allowed to download the trial I still have to fill out the entire stupid form, basically reapeating the info you already have available in my account? They could have said Monday - estimated Saturday, so they add two days for good measure to make sure to get everything right on time - declare a certain release time (including timezone, of course), then release it that minute with everything available, updated and working. That's how the Pros do it - not so these guys - they still ask the pro money though.

Thank you. Confusing. Recent Windows versions included _64bit_ as part of the name, so I'd tried to keep that in, and it said there was no such file. With your tweaked version I got an empty screen but it did download and I didn't notice and was still waiting for something to appear on the screen (four tries, four downloads argh!).phreak wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:33 pmI did not notice this.jabe wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:11 pmIt's not downloading v13 for Windows yet, just 12.5.11. Well... they're offering a 40% off site-wide... so... the upgrade turns out to be around $59 USD (even less if you have a few Tracktion cash points)jens wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 3:52 pm They could have said Monday - estimated Saturday, so they add two days for good measure to make sure to get everything right on time - declare a certain release time (including timezone, of course), then release it that minute with everything available, updated and working. Good value for money...IMHO.

Okay, well, if that discount coincides with the new release this time around (never happened in the past), that is certainly fair enough indeed!

59 dollars is a great price tbf. There is an option to contact support for a custom price if you have purchased extensions previously, but I'll just take the HELLO13 discount. I'm more than happy to pay 59 dollars every two years just to help keep the show on the road. Now to see if I can download the thing.
