I was one of the ones who suggested symlinks. I did so, because they do work. I'd never used them / had any knowledge of how to use them, before I learnt how to so that I could set up my user folder in Triaz.

Can you share the exact method you used when attempting to set yours up, so that someone can maybe offer some advice as to why it hasn't worked in your case?

I have to admit, I too had difficulty contacting the developer in the past via email & website contact forms, as well as not having replies to PMs on here. But when contact was finally made, they were as helpful as you could wish for.

Its all very basic at this point. Basic install of Triaz, no expansions. Fully uninstalled demo, installed full(VST3) version and registered it. Restarted host. Reopened Triaz. Attempted to add folders of samples, or just single samples, to the "User Samples" folder inside Triaz, then hit the refresh button. Nothing. Restart Triaz, nothing. Restart host, nothing. Nothing but Triaz own sample content will work inside the plugin unless I manually drag and drop single samples on single channels.

It wont load (via folder) ANY user samples. And SO many presets have sounds with velocity disabled?? I have to manually turn the vel knob to enable it per preset, per sample, cant global enable velocity??

OK, but what did you do with regards to attempting to set up a symlink? That's the only way you'll get your own samples to appear in Triaz, until that feature is added by the devs, which is still scheduled to be quite some time away still.

You CAN add folders of your samples to the user samples area and USE them in the SAME way as the internal samples. I MOVED my samples there, no IDEA about sym links.

Yes, this works as expected for me as well- its only linking folders that are not in the Triaz folders that hasn't been added.

Sorry, yeah... I meant the only way of getting your own samples into it without having to either have them all located in the Triaz folder location or having to duplicate them.

Wasn't there something about samples not showing up in a particular level of sub-layer levels in the Triaz User Samples folder? Or, not showing up unless they were in a particular level? That's the only reason I can think of why that normal method isn't working for him.

OK, but what did you do with regards to attempting to set up a symlink? That's the only way you'll get your own samples to appear in Triaz, until that feature is added by the devs, which is still scheduled to be quite some time away still.

Im not creating symlinks, or even taking that next step until I can simply get the software to import a single sample into its root "User Samples" folder. Im not talking about linking other locations, Im COPYING files into its root, as the dev says it can do. It was not clear (and it still says the software can do this in print, on their website) that Triaz cannot import 3rd party samples, and this is unfortunate.

Again -- SINGLE SAMPLES, moved directly into the "User Samples" folder at the root of Triaz do not import. Hitting refresh doesnt import them. Closing/reopening Triaz or my DAW does not import them.

The single method I can use to play external content inside Triaz is by dragging and dropping samples on top of individual channels. This works. No other import method works.

Im doing it wrong? lol Can you explain where my mistake was? Was adding a single file into the "User Samplers" folder, as the software's docs literally say to, not the right way to add samples?

Im on page 20 in the Triaz manual right now, and it literally says to point the file browser at folders of samples from your own libraries.

Verbatim, from the manual:
"Entire 3rd Party and User Sample Packs can easily be added to Triaz’s Sound Browser by
dragging your Sample Pack folders into the “Triaz / User Samples” Folder on your Hard
Drive. This folder can be found at the location you chose when installing the Triaz Content.
Imported Sample Packs will show up in the User Samples section of
the Sound Browser on the left.
The Refresh icon next to the Search Field above can be pressed to
Refresh and update the Browser after adding User Samples.
Triaz will automatically organize and tag the imported Sample Packs
using the first 2 Folder Levels of the Sample Packs’ Folder Structure. This means the Drum
and Tag buttons on the Drum Tag column to the right will populate with these folder names
automatically. You can also use this structure to perfectly tag your own samples for use
within Triaz’s Browser."

It worked for me. I didn’t read the manual.

I have no idea what your problem is but maybe it’s because you dragged in a single sample. I dragged in a FOLDER of samples to the User Samples folder, which is also what your quote of the manual is telling you to do.

Beyond that, if you’ve emailed support then they’re the ones to dig deeper with your particular problem.

Ive dragged in a single sample. Ive dragged in folders of samples. None of this works. This isnt something where "Im doing something wrong" because there are no steps in between that could go wrong. This is one of the SIMPLEST features imaginable.

I already emailed support but they dont respond. That's why Im posting here, and becoming more frustrated by the moment.
