can anyone recommend this plugin maybe other than for Guitars?

Yep. I reckon it's just as good for 7 string guitars.

thanks a lot, will do, had my eyes on this for a long time. i saw there is also offline activation possible, does it mean i can load e.g. a license file and thats it? i try to not buy new plugins with only online activation anymore.

Correct. We use license files for the activations. In this way, even if we'll ever go out of business, you'll be always able to activate your purchase.
